IBM released another batch of applications in the series this week Mobile First for iOS and thus expanded its portfolio by another 8 software products aimed at the corporate sphere. The new applications are aimed at use in healthcare, insurance and retail.

The healthcare sector received the most attention this time, and four out of eight applications are aimed specifically at helping employees in the healthcare sector. The new applications primarily aim to help medical staff access patient data more easily and conveniently, but their capabilities are broader. The new applications can manage to-do lists of support staff in specific parts of the hospital as well as, for example, evaluate and manage the diagnoses of patients who are outside the hospital.

Another four applications created as a result of the important collaboration between Apple and IBM cover the field of retail or insurance. But the transport sector also received a new application. The software named Ancillary Sale it is intended for stewards and flight attendants, while it could make life a little easier and more modern for them and passengers.

Díky Ancillary Sale the staff on the plane can simply sell passengers premium services related to transport, food or drinks, with payment via Apple Pay. In addition, the application remembers the purchases and preferences of passengers, so on subsequent flights it offers them goods and services based on their previous behavior.

The companies Apple and IBM their cooperation with the aim of better penetrating the corporate sphere announced last July. The first series of applications arrived at customers in December and another batch followed in early March this year. Every application that came out of the collaboration between these two companies is designed exclusively for iPhone and iPad. In development, IBM focuses primarily on the functional side of things, which includes maximum security of applications and their wide possibility of customization to the given company. Apple, on the other hand, works to ensure that applications adhere to the iOS concept, are sufficiently intuitive and have a high-quality user interface.

It is dedicated to the MobileFirst for iOS project a special page on the Apple website, where you can view the complete range of professional applications.
