Perhaps every sci-fi and fantasy fan knows the Warhammer series and world. Even as a little boy I devoured Warhammer books under the bench with Gotrek and Felix killing everything they could get their hands on. Later came Warhammer 40,000. It was presented not only as a board game with miniature figures, but also as a series of books or animated films. Almost immediately, the popular fantasy series made its way to PCs and game consoles, and smartphones are no exception.

For once, the game is set in the Warhammer world was selected as App of the Week. This week the developers at Rodeo Games have done it again with Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch – Tyranid Invasion. It saw the light of day only last year, so it is the latest effort of these developers.

Warhammer 40,000 is a turn-based action strategy game in which you have to complete missions and other tasks with the help of various marines. In total, forty different missions await you in the campaign, where you have a bunch of weapons and special attacks and effects at your disposal.

Individual missions consist of turns. At the beginning you always have a certain task, for example to protect an object, to destroy a certain number of enemies or to last a few rounds. In each round, you can move the marines to new positions, attack enemies or use some defensive abilities. Once your turn ends, the enemy plays.

At times, the game may seem very stereotypical. Personally, I appreciate that the enemy's wheel can be sped up at least a little bit. It is also evident that the developers worked hard with the game's graphics and interesting gameplay. The game also has an experience system, upgrading weapons, soldiers and other user settings and mods.

In many cases, your primary task is defense as the number of enemies keeps increasing. There is also an accompanying story waiting for you in the game, and if you know this world from paper books, you will certainly more than appreciate it.

I recommend Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch – Tyranid Invasion to all lovers of science fiction and quality turn-based strategies. I also recommend considering every move and move, as even your marines are deadly and in many cases it would be a shame to replay the game from the beginning of a given mission. I wish you good and successful hunting. Download the latest Warhammer for iPhones and iPads for free right now.
