Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), lowered counting down in anticipation of the next App Store milestone. Before long, the app with serial number 50 billion will be downloaded from the App Store, and Apple is promising a voucher worth 10 dollars (less than 200 crowns) to the person who succeeds in this jubilee download. At the same time, Apple released a ranking of the best apps of all time.
The last time Apple held a similar competition was in February 2012, when it attacked 25 billion downloaded applications. Now Apple will also reward another 500 users who download the app after reaching the 50 billion mark with a $50 voucher.
Apps have changed the way we play video games, read news, do business, teach, communicate, paint and much more. As we approach 50 billion app downloads, we'll reward the lucky user who downloads the 50 billionth app with a $500 App Store voucher. The next XNUMX people after him will be given a $XNUMX voucher to the App Store.
About 49,2 billion apps are currently downloaded.
On the occasion of reaching another milestone, Apple also released rankings of the best apps in the history of the App Store. There are four categories: paid and unpaid, for iPhone and for iPad.

Unexpectedly, the top 3 paid apps for iPad are Pages, Numbers and Keynote :D
Windows Phone design App Store icon? :D
Seriously? God.
this is how it happens when windows starts copying
What? This is not how it turns out when a geek is extremely confused :-)
Apple will probably never use this - it would be a huge step back.
Everyone here was raving about the beautiful desktop design before the release of iOS7, and here we go... we already have it on our plate :D
It can be seen that while on the iPhone it's mostly all games to play with, on the iPad there are apps with which you can do something. Which confirms my assumption that even the mini iPad is intended for gaming due to its size. After all, the owners confirm it themselves.
The fact that the first three most downloaded paid office applications on the iPad does not mean that "cows" are not downloaded on iPads... you just need to look a little lower and it would be clear to you that the ratio of games, various editors, players and other gadgets is enough similar!
I have personal experience of pleasant work on the iPad mini, and I certainly have no reason to consider myself an exception.
PS: yes, I have "cows" there too...:D
That's like saying that most people on a PC only read the web (FB) and don't create value -> only stupid things are done on the PC. People who work on a PC will always be fewer than those who create on it. Mobile device
And if you look even lower, you will still see useful applications there. Logically, it is clear that you can still work decently on the bigger one because it is almost A5 format, while the mini is just a notebook.
The exception simply proves the rule. A few people will be found, but most of them will work on the bigger one, as Mr. Málek pointed out later. And especially for Mr. Honza alias czechboy0. Of course, the exception that confirms the rule is not stupidity, but that requires really thinking about it or finding out, rather than hastily expressing yourself and throwing ashes on your head. It has its basis in the laws. In short: Some rules are given by law and exceptions are granted only in certain situations, which do not cancel, but confirm/recognize the previous statement about the rules. If this is beyond your understanding please study law. Generally speaking, it is an abbreviated quote which unfortunately does not make sense to some and they are looking for ideas on how to reinvent the wheel.
Just a dig at the article title: most downloaded/most bought doesn't necessarily mean best :) Downloads are the only metric here for these rankings.
