I have known the Warhammer fantasy series since I was very young. In elementary school, I read the Gotrek and Felix book series, which are based in the Warhammer world, under my desk. Over time, new titles came, from comics to computer and console games. It is therefore not surprising that this phenomenon has also reached Apple devices. Warhammer: Snotling Fling has made it to this week's App of the Week and is therefore completely free to download on the App Store.
Right from the first launch, it will be clear to you where you know this game principle from. Warhammer: Snotling Fling faithfully copies the popular game series Angry Birds, with the difference that Warhammer is in 3D. In each of the more than seventy levels, your goal is simple: use a large slingshot and green orcs to destroy castles, towers and other houses of ordinary people and soldiers.
As in Angry Birds, in Warhammer: Snotling Fling you will have a wide selection of special orcs that, for example, explode after impact or use other abilities. In each round, you are also given a score for destroyed buildings, which is then reflected in the overall rating. An interesting bonus is the various squeals and grins that the orcs will make at you when you draw the slingshot. It is also user-adjustable, be it height or angle.
You can view each round in detail and plan a suitable strategy according to the current terrain. As the difficulty increases, you have to start calculating a little and, above all, aim well. People's buildings are gradually getting stronger or moving further away.
Warhammer: Snotling Fling doesn't offer any new or novel gameplay concepts. On the other hand, I believe that it will find its fans, especially among fantasy fans who know the world of Warhammer. The game also offers a story that you can follow.
