Do you like retro games? In that case, you'll love the new app of the week, which is free to download in the App Store for this week. Space Qube is a typical retro dice game where you have to control your space rocket and shoot anything that even slightly moves.

Controlling the rocket is very primitive. Sideways movement is controlled by tilting the apple device, shooting is fully automatic, and flicking your finger right or left across the screen will propel your rocket forward a bit faster, including an effective corkscrew. Of course, you can customize the controls to your liking in the settings, as I believe that some people may not be satisfied with the automatic modes.

At the start of the game, you have a choice of three rockets that differ in speed and durability in the area of durability. As soon as you press the play button, you will find yourself in the first round where you destroy enemy machines and strange monsters. At the end of each level, there is a boss waiting for you that you have to destroy. Of course, he fires different weapons at you.

Once you defeat him, you automatically advance to the next round. This way of playing is repeated in each round, with the difference that the difficulty increases. Once your ship runs out of life, you can start over. The only exception is redemption in the form of cubes, which you can sacrifice for reincarnation at the same place in the game.

It is the dice that accompany your entire game. Not only is the Space Qube made entirely of cubes, it's also your job to collect the cubes. For every fallen enemy ship, cubes will fly towards you, which you should collect. Thanks to them, you can modify your space rocket in various ways or buy new rockets.

Adding variety to the game is the global leaderboard, which is always displayed at the end. Thanks to this, you immediately have a clear overview of how you are doing compared to other players. The game doesn't offer much more.

Space Qube can be downloaded from the App Store for free, with in-app purchases included. The game is compatible with all iOS devices except the fourth generation iPod touch. According to the developers, work is being done on its support.
