The popular to-do app Things was updated to version 3.12 this week. The latest update includes a number of interesting changes, among the most significant of which is direct synchronization with Things Cloud in the Apple Watch version. Until now, syncing the Apple Watch version of the Things app with the cloud required an "intermediary" in the form of a paired iPhone.

Synchronization of Things on Apple Watch with Things Cloud now occurs without the need for an iPhone, both when the watch is connected to a cellular network (in selected regions) and when connected to a Wi-Fi network. In connection with this update, developer Cultured Code further states that they have also worked on improving the quality of the data on the watch face, so that real-time synchronization will also be reflected in the data displayed through the complications. In order for users to be able to take advantage of all the mentioned benefits of the latest update, it is necessary to have a Things Cloud account created - it is completely free to create.

In addition to direct sync with the cloud, Things version 3.12 for Apple Watch brings a handful of new features, such as the ability to add new to-do lists scheduled for the day. In previous versions, it was only possible to save new tasks to the Inbox, now users have the option to add the mentioned setting as a default option. To do this setting, just launch the app on your watch and long press the main list. The update also added the option to remove a task on the watch from the view for the given day. Things for Apple Watch also received support for typing on the watch display and support for multiple watches at once.

You can download the Things app in the pro version Mac, iPhone a iPad.
