But still, in my opinion, these apps are the best in their class, and they're all free.
AppCleaner
All MAC OS X users will definitely appreciate this very simple, but handy software, especially those who like to install and subsequently delete new and new applications. It is a software that thoroughly erases the application and its associated data on your Mac. It works very simply. You just pull the icon of the program you want to delete from the list of applications and drag it to AppCleaner. You confirm the deletion and all data associated with the program you no longer need and the program itself is gone.
Liquid CD
Every user needs to burn something sometimes. Here and there data, DVD Video, music or even photos. And exactly for these purposes Liqiud CD is here. If you are a demanding user of burning programs with a lot of functions, then you should choose Toast Titanium, because Liquid CD is a simple, functional program. It is absolutely excellent and definitely a must-have program for every movie and series lover. A brilliant player, against which I have not a single complaint. Font, size, color, position, encoding. I would really recommend Movist to absolutely anyone who ever plays a video on their Mac.
Almost every MAC OS X user knows this program. Probably the most widespread program for this operating system. It supports most of the used communication protocols such as ICQ, Jabber, Facebook chat, Yahoo, Google talk, MSN Messenger and now also Twitter. Excellent for everyday use with a lot of settings for appearance changes. It is a sample tool for classic chatting. I use it on ICQ and Facebook chat and have never had any problems.

Is "Movist" better than "VLC"?
I think it will depend on the user's preferences. I'd rather compile mplayer than use VLC :)
Movist displays subtitles much better. It doesn't zoom them with the video, but draws them separately, so they look good even in fullscreens. However, other videos simply won't be played by Movist.
yes it's better! VLC just freezes, it's terrible... it runs smoothly on a full HD monitor, otherwise I have 13 MB for 2009 C2D2.26

mplayer is also great for videos. The latest version is downloaded from Google code http://mplayerosx.sttz.ch/#downloads
And it's great. I haven't had to look for and install codecs for three years now :)
Lots of settings too, including the ability to play a movie as desktop background.
interesting applications, but to tell the truth I don't use any of them and I don't consider them necessary. for those who use a MacBook Pro with Geforce, I would rather recommend "smcFanControl", you can set the fan speed there and thus prevent the graphics room from overheating, which I have already succeeded in twice and replacing the board is not cheap :) (Fortunately, it was still under warranty). I can only quietly envy those who have an older version with Atina.
My macbook pro sometimes gets quite warm - when working with photos or flash for a long time. How did it happen to lose even with a board change??? That sounds thick to me...

I've almost reached the minimum, I'm doing something - I need a game or an edit, mini crazy, restart and nothing.
The service replaced the graphics card, but the board took it away. So the new SN and mini drove, but it cut out during the same activities as the drive, then it started to let go.
I made an appointment with the director of iStyle, looked at the mini and fell again under the load.
So he had the RAM replaced and it's been fine since then, except for the fact that I had to replace it with a 2009 model due to slowness.
RAM was to blame for this, but the service did not detect it.

of the players I can only remember WMP, Real player and for QT there are still a number of codecs available for download, but it is probably better to ask mujmac in the relevant section.
Does Appcleaner really work in such a way that it removes everything the application brings? My point is that I downloaded the trial plugin for 15 days, which is a short time for testing, but I didn't have time to test it properly and the trial expired. If I remove it and reinstall it, it recognizes that it was already installed and cannot start. So somewhere it is recorded "I've been here before". And I manually threw out everything that was left of it. Well, probably not everything.
so my TOP 10 additional applications are about: 1Password, NeoOffice, TunnelBlick, Jing, Aperture, CyberDuck, TextWrangler, Esemeska, CoRD and Chicken of VNC.
Maybe even VLC, but it's not "business critical", so I could do without it at worst :-)
So I would sell logmein or teamviewer and then AppTrap.
