Yesterday in Seattle, Amazon unveiled a brand new series of new Alexa-powered Echo products. The new product line includes a smart speaker, wireless headphones, a lamp and many others.

Competition for AirPods?

Echo Buds wireless headphones were also part of the newly introduced product line from Amazon. Amazon promises excellent clear sound with clear vocals and dynamic bass. Echo Buds are equipped with Bose Active Noise Reduction technology for a smart reduction of ambient noise, they promise to last up to five hours on a single charge. Another two hours of playback will be provided by a quick fifteen-minute charge. The box in which the headphones are stored contains an additional battery that can extend the operating time up to twenty hours.

The Echo Buds are the first piece of wearable electronics to come out of Amazon's workshop, and they also allow voice activation of Alexa, but on other devices it is possible to use the headphones in cooperation with other assistants, such as Siri or Google Assistant. The headphones will come with replacement tips in three different sizes. Athletes will certainly welcome the headphones' sweat resistance. The Echo Buds will also come with privacy features, such as the ability to turn off the microphone for the Alexa app.

The price of the headphones is roughly 3000 crowns.

Speaker and lamp

Among the products Amazon unveiled this week was a higher-end version of its Echo smart speaker, which is meant to compete with Apple's HomePod for a change. Echo Studio with a trio of mid-range speakers, a subwoofer, Alexa support and 3D Dolby Sound will cost roughly 4600 crowns.

Amazon also introduced a new version of the main Echo speaker with improved sound quality, new Neodymium drivers and a three-inch woofer. The speaker promises stronger bass and cleaner mids and highs, and will be available in dark blue. The price is approximately 2300 crowns in conversion.

The new offer also includes a new version of the Echo Dot speaker, called Echo Dot With Clock. This speaker will be equipped with an LED display, showing the time, alarms, timers, temperature and other data. Another novelty was the Echo Show 8, representing an improved version of the Echo Show 5. The speaker includes an eight-inch display, customers will have a choice between 5,5-inch, 10-inch and 8-inch versions.

A novelty called Echo Glow is intended for children. It is a colorful smart lamp that works with Alexa. The lamp can conjure up various colors, imitate a campfire, and also offers a sleep timer or a mode called "Dance Party" with lights and music. The price of the lamp will be roughly 705 crowns.

Other novelties include the Echo Flex device, which can be plugged directly into an outlet and is equipped with a small speaker and a USB port for charging, or perhaps a smart combination oven called the Smart Oven. Amazon also introduced the Alexa-enabled Echo Frames glasses or the Echo Loop smart ring.

The company has also improved its voice assistant, which is now able to recognize emotions and adapt its responses to them. Devices from Amazon will now be able to speak with the voices of celebrities, the first to come later this year is the voice of Samuel L. Jackson.
