Commercial message: The number one Czech e-commerce and leader in the sale of electronics Alza.cz enters the new academic year with several new branches. During the summer holidays, the company set a high pace and opened four brick-and-mortar branches, including one in the Czech Republic, two in Slovakia and one in Hungary. The expansion of the network is far from over for this year, customers can look forward to several more branches by the end of the year.

In June, i.e. before the start of the holidays, Alza managed to open a branch in Beroun. In July, the doors of the brick-and-mortar branch in Teplice were opened, and Slovak customers were also welcomed by the branch in Nové Zámice. The opening of foreign branches continued in August. Slovakia's Dunajská Streda and Hungary's Budapest have a new brick-and-mortar store, which can now boast the third branch of Alza.

The strategic expansion of brick-and-mortar branches is a game-changer in both online and offline shopping

Alza invests in the long-term not only in the development of internet sales, but also in brick-and-mortar branches, which turns out to be an important company strategy. "Our initiative to open new branches is the result of an effort to meet the needs of residents of large and smaller cities who have long wished to have our branch in their vicinity. The concept of these branches is designed to reflect the changing preferences of our customers. By offering a wide range of goods with the possibility of immediate purchase, convenient parking, the possibility of taking over larger products and lightning delivery, we try to fully satisfy the needs of our customers. Thanks to the connection with our AlzaBox distribution network near the branches, we offer the fastest way to deliver our entire assortment." says Miroslav Kövary, vice-chairman of Alza's board of directors and adds: "However, our commitment does not end only with our customers. We are also firmly committed to providing an optimal working environment for our employees. The new concept means a more pleasant and modern working environment for them."

The presence of a brick-and-mortar branch perfectly complements the operation of the adjacent AlzaBoxes, and customers can choose the most suitable delivery method according to the ordered goods and personal preferences. "We have proven that if we open a branch in a certain area, orders to nearby AlzaBoxes will also increase," comments the director of Alzy's sales network Ondřej Fabianek.

The recently opened branches already have a stock of more than two thousand different products. An obvious trend is the increase in demand for displayed goods. "Demand for products on display has increased by 100% since the beginning of the year," says Fabianek and adds: "At the branches, customers are most interested in mobile phones, home appliances, toys, laptops and small accessories such as chargers, data cables or batteries."

In addition, Alza branches are open 7 days a week and trained staff are always available to customers to help them choose suitable goods. A unique service at the branch is also the possibility to taste the private brand of coffee AlzaCafé for free. "Such advantages make our brick-and-mortar branches an extraordinary place to shop, combining the convenience of traditional shopping with a modern approach," adds Kövary.

The opening of new branches brings dozens of job opportunities

Fifty new jobs were created with the opening of new branches this year alone. "With the expansion of sales, we are looking for people with management and business experience in new locations who want to bring joy to our customers with every purchase." says Fabianek. In this way, Alza continues to approach not only customers, but also those who are looking for new career goals.
