Alza.cz has a big event planned for Friday morning. On June 27, it will open an Apple Shop in its showroom in Prague's Holešovice. However, this is in no way the entry of Apple as such into the Czech market, the Apple Shop is only a "store within a store" concept, which the Californian company normally practices, for example, in the United States...

Until now, in the Czech Republic we were mainly used to the so-called Apple Premium Resellers, who represented the main seller of apple products in the country. The Apple Shop, which Alza is now opening, represents a brand new store concept that has no parallels in Central and Eastern Europe. Although three other stores in the Czech Republic boast the title of Apple Shop (twice Datart and once Electroworld), Alza is going to offer a completely new experience with its one.

Like Apple itself, Alza remained very secretive about the details of the collaboration. "Apple Shops are business locations designed by Apple, which are located in the premises of selected Apple dealers or other stores," confirmed PR manager Alzy Šárka Jakoubková, that it is indeed the same concept that sells Apple products, such as the large retail chains Best Buy and Wal -Mart in the United States.

Apple Premium Reseller designations are independent brick-and-mortar stores that have been recognized by Apple for excellent customer service with an emphasis on Apple solutions, services and support. Apple Shop, even though it is a store within a store, does not lose in any way against APR, for example, Alza will also have all products available in its store on the day the sale starts. Apple puts the same emphasis on both concepts, and Alza promises to offer a completely different experience than the three other Apple Shops in the Czech Republic now offer, whose labeling is somewhat misleading.

Czech actor, voice actor and presenter Martin Stránský, who narrated the best-selling audiobook of 2013 dedicated to the personality of Steve Jobs, will officially open the Apple Shop in Holešovice's Alza on Friday, and Alza has prepared a number of discounts for visitors. It will provide up to a 15% discount on selected Apple products, customers will be able to use a five percent discount when shopping online, and those who shop in the Apple Shop on Friday wearing a green T-shirt will receive a voucher from Alza worth 1000 crowns for the purchase of apple products.

On Friday, you will be able to shop at the Apple Shop in Holešovice at the following promotional prices:

  • MacBook Air 13″ (2014 Intel Core i5 1.4GHz Haswell) for 23 crowns, original price 27 crowns
