Apple Pay does not only mean paying with an iPhone or Apple Watch at contactless terminals, but also convenient payment on the Internet and in applications with one click. All this without copying data from the card and above all while maintaining maximum security. However, for full functionality, support is also required directly from the sellers, who must implement the payment system directly on their e-shop. And it seems that the largest domestic e-shop will be the first to go in this direction Alza.cz, who promised early support for Apple Pay today.

That's how Alza reacts to today's official launch new payment methods in the Czech Republic. The largest Czech online retailer has been preparing for Apple Pay since the end of 2018 and is currently testing it intensively. It plans to offer its customers the service in sharp mode in the coming days, while it will first be available in the iOS application, and later also directly on the website. It should be available in full in a matter of weeks.

Customers simply choose to pay via Apple Pay directly in the shopping cart. The biggest benefit for the user will be its speed and security - thanks to the payment card stored in the Wallet application on the iPhone, iPad or Mac, the customer pays the order literally with one click and only authorizes the transaction via their Touch ID, Face ID or access code.

"We intensively follow the developments in the field of financial and other services, and if an interesting novelty appears, we want to be among the first to offer it to customers. Apple Pay makes shopping easier for hundreds of thousands of people around the world, so why not offer this convenience to people in the Czech Republic as well," stated Alza.cz financial director Jiří Ponrt. In addition, according to him, card payments are gaining in popularity, at the end of last year they already accounted for more than half of all transactions in Alza. "Our customers include a large number of Apple users, so we can expect this method to gain a following soon."
