Apple has updated the third iteration of the developer preview of the upcoming operating system Mountain Lion, which will be officially presented on WWDC 2012. The update mainly brought an interesting function to the notification center.

The new function is called Do Not Disturb, in translation Do not disturb. The function is accessible through a menulet in the main bar in the shape of a moon and allows you to temporarily turn off the display of messages and other notifications. The feature is especially useful when you're working on something important and don't want anything else to distract you, which notifications usually do. It is not yet possible to set, for example, a time limit when the function was turned on automatically, it is only possible manually.

It would not be bad if in this case iOS was inspired by OS X and this feature was also included in the upcoming iOS 6, which is also likely to be presented at WWDC. In iOS, before the advent of the 5th generation of the operating system, there was an option to turn off all push notifications, but with the arrival of the notification center, from Settings she disappeared. It is therefore possible that it will return to iOS again, ideally with the option of setting "quiet hours", where it would be possible to set a time "from-to" during which notifications would be deactivated and not disturb during the night, for example.
