Soon after the keynote, Apple released the iOS 8.2 update, which it kept in beta for months. However, before the release, Golden Master completely skipped the build and the final version went straight to public distribution. The biggest innovation is the new Apple Watch application, which is used for pairing with the watch, all management and downloading applications. The App Store itself is not yet available for applications, it will probably open only when the watch goes on sale, but at least its form could be seen during the keynote.

In addition to the app itself, the update includes a number of improvements and bug fixes that iOS 8 is still full of. Improvements mainly concern the Health application, where, for example, it is now possible to select units for distance, height, weight, or body temperature, third-party applications can add and visualize exercises, or it is possible to turn off the measurement of steps, distance, and the number of stairs climbed in the privacy settings.

Stability improvements and bug fixes are found across the system, from Mail to Music, Maps, and VoiceOver. Some sources also talked about the addition of a fitness application that Apple introduced in the watch, but its presence was not confirmed. The update can be downloaded from Settings > General > Software Update and requires between 300 and 500 MB depending on the device model.

Apple is currently letting developers test the upcoming 8.3 update, which is already in its second build.
