On Saturday we brought information, that Apple released a new version of the operating system for Apple TV. Apple TV 6.0 brought a few new features, but if you haven't updated yet, you'll have to wait. Apple has pulled the update…
The new version brought AirPlay from iCloud, iTunes Radio or viewing photos and videos from iCloud, but now Apple TV with version 5.3 reports that it is the latest version of the operating system.
Version 6.0 was withdrawn due to problems. For some users, Apple TV froze permanently after the update or lost all content during the update. Other devices could not connect to the Internet in the new version, although the connection was fine. The problem didn't affect all devices, but it was probably so critical that Apple pulled version 6.0 for the time being.
I didn't have any problems - the update took place and everything works as it should
So I'm also one of the luckier ones, because I updated to 6.0 on Saturday morning and didn't notice any problems. Everything is fine and I have the purchased movies and music there.
Well, I have 6 and I have problems :-( from the beginning it's angry, it doesn't play, it crashes, it writes errors... I hope that a fix will be released soon!
For me, it was probably the longest Apple TV update ever. Not counting the download, the update took about 40 minutes. However, everything works fine and I'm enjoying iTunes Radio god :-)
Do you have an American account :-) I don't have itunes radio there :-) just a normal radio
It keeps restarting for me and it's quite annoying :/
The update is available for download again…
Unfortunately, I managed to download it and since then half of the videos I have in my iTunes library are not showing :-(
The seller in Pilsen's iWant told me that after the update Apple TV should be able to play timecapsule videos without iTunes turned on, i.e. the same as on a NAS server from Synology, does anyone have any experience??? I think I would fuck her then
