At the end of last year, Apple announced that throughout 2018 it would offer users of older iPhones (i.e. iPhone 6, 6s, SE and 7) a discounted price for post-warranty battery replacement. The company thus responded to the case regarding the slowing down of phones, which has been moving the Apple world for the past month. The event was originally supposed to start at the end of January, but in practice it is possible to get a discount for the exchange already now. This afternoon, Apple issued a statement stating that owners of iPhone 6 Plus are not affected by the January start of the event, as the batteries are low. They will thus have to wait three to four months until there are enough batteries.
If you have an iPhone 6 Plus at home, which is far from its original speed, you probably thought about replacing the battery after the warranty, which costs 29 dollars instead of 79 dollars (in our case converted to crowns). If you haven't done so yet, you'll have to wait until March, maybe even April, for your replacement. Apple is struggling with a shortage of batteries for this model and it is necessary to wait until the stock reaches a level that can cover the interest of customers.
According to an internal document, there should be enough batteries sometime at the turn of March or April, but the exact date is not known. Such a delay only applies to iPhone 6 Plus batteries. For the iPhone 6 or 6s Plus, the battery delivery time is about two weeks. For other models covered by the promotion (i.e. iPhone 6s, 7, 7 Plus and SE), there should be no waiting time and batteries should be available as normal. However, individual waiting periods may vary from region to region. In our case, it will be easiest to contact an authorized service and inquire about availability there. Or go to an official Apple Store near the border, if you happen to live nearby or have a trip around. The discounted battery replacement campaign will last until the end of 2018 and can only be used once per device.

This is great...I have 6+ and the phone is really unusable...it hangs when entering the calendar and other activities...the delay of up to 5 seconds is crazy...and let's go to April :-(
but the delay of 5 seconds has nothing to do with the reduction of the processor clock, that's just a bug in iOS that you use to screw up old models :]
(to put it simply, if it took 0.5 seconds to open the calendar before, then after reducing the tempo to the pulse (and I am exaggerating), it should take a second... of course there is some background that feels like that, but in real life it will not reach the model from the year 2015? Toilka percent, that is, Apple will fuck you, 2x ;)
solution? please don't buy an iphone
but mushrooms ... what my colleague describes above is not normal and it is not a flashlight ... there are countless iPhones running in the family and at work, including many older than 6s and with the alleged slowdown, no one ever has a problem using them and they are running ... maybe not like when they were young, but fine usable without bothering... but of course don't buy an iPhone!!! … Samsung, or whoever the hell, doesn't think of anything else but your well-being and undoubtedly won't ask for your money, because he probably swore an oath to the Quick Arrows
Well, the fact that it works for you unfortunately does not mean that it works for everyone. I have exactly the same problem (iP 6+) as PatrikW. And even after a completely clean installation (without restoring from a backup). Of course, it could be a HW defect, but quite a few people are reporting it. In Geekbench or Antutu, the performance is about a third to a half lower than it should be. At the same time, the CPU shows a frequency of 1400 Mhz, so I agree that it is probably not just the battery.
