It's been more than a year since Apple introduced the AirPower wireless charger. However, the mat still hasn't made it to retailers' counters. In addition, Apple began to act as if it had never revealed any such product and removed essentially all mention of the charger from its website. Together with reports of production problems, many began to believe that the magical wireless charger from Apple's workshops was over. However, the latest information suggests that AirPower is still in the game, which has now been confirmed by the most reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

There are several signs. AirPower is mentioned, for example, in the packaging of the new iPhone XR, which goes on sale on Friday. Specifically in the phone manual found foreign media editors the sentence in which Apple mentions its charger: "Place iPhone screen-up on AirPower or another Qi-certified wireless charger." The same sentence is also found in the instructions for the iPhone XS and XS Max.

Evidence that the launch of AirPower is still in the plans, se located also in the latest iOS 12.1, which is currently in testing. Engineers have updated the components in the system that are responsible for controlling the graphic interface that appears when charging through AirPower. It is the modifications to the code that indicate that Apple is still working on the project and counting on it in the future.

According to his report, AirPower should make its debut either at the end of this year or at the latest at the beginning of the first quarter of 2019.
