Wireless headphones AirPods from Apple became the clear winner of the past Christmas. Demand for them was extremely strong and many retailers had to contend with insufficient stock. Despite being on sale since 2016, it seems that AirPods only really became a hit at the end of last year.

On December 25th, the topic "AirPods for Christmas" became a trending topic on Twitter. Of course, funny themed memes didn't take long. Wireless headphones from Apple became a grateful target of Internet pranksters already at the time of their release - people made fun of their appearance, price and the high probability of their loss (which in the end turned out not to be high at all).

The subject of this year's (and partially last year's) jokes on social networks are AirPods as a sign of supposed social status and success, when their new owners are ironically compared to the directors of large global companies. There are also references to owners of Beats headphones or users who "have AirPods but also a Home Button". Other tweets mocked the situation when a new owner of the original AirPods discovers that Apple has finally come up with an updated version.

But there are also references to popular films, well-known personalities including Steve Jobs, or, conversely, classic literature. The grateful target of jokes were also those who talked about AirPods, but found something completely different under the tree - you can see a selection of tweets in the gallery above.
