Apple has released a new product and it was only a matter of time before it got into the hands of iFixit technicians who would subject it to a thorough analysis. AirPods Pro did not perform well in this regard, because as it turned out, from the point of view of repairability, it could not be worse.

How can you see for yourself in original article, or in the video below, AirPods Pro are not made with repairability in mind. Whether people like it or not, this is a purely consumer product that will end up in the trash at the end of its useful life. Nothing on the new AirPods Pro is replaceable or repairable, both on the charging box and on the headphones themselves.

Everything is held together by a huge amount of glue and other sealants, so any attempt at disassembly ends up with permanently damaged hardware. In the video below, you can at least take a look at what Apple has managed to fit into such a small space.

Thanks to the compactness of the entire product, it is almost impossible to make it at least a little modular for the needs of service operations. Although, for example, a replaceable battery would be a huge plus. However, it will turn out this way that the otherwise fully functional AirPods Pro will be ripe for replacement after two years of intensive use, as the battery will only retain half of its original capacity. And if we take into account the price at which Apple replaces AirPods Pro, it is definitely not an ideal solution for users.
