In its statements, Apple likes to boast about the growing success of its wearable electronics category. Recently published statistics by Counterpoint Research prove him absolutely right in this regard – AirPods accounted for 60% of the market for fully wireless headphones in the December quarter of last year, clearly surpassing the products of well-known and popular brands such as Jabra or Bose.

The just-mentioned brand Jabra took second place in the ranking of the best-selling wireless headphones, with its fitness model Elite Active 65t. Samsung with its Gear IconX, JLab and its JBuds Air True Wireless, and Bose with its SoundSport Free model were among the five best-selling brands.

The fact that Apple clearly reigns supreme in the market for fully wireless headphones is evidenced by the fact that while Apple alone took a full 60% of the sales pie, while the remaining 40% had to be shared by Bose, JBL, Samsung, Huawei and Jabra. However, a different situation prevails in sub-markets – in China and Europe, AirPods did not do so well, and in the European market even Apple was surpassed by the Jabra brand.

According to the conclusions of Counterpoint Research, there could have been even more AirPods sold, but many users hesitated to buy in anticipation of the arrival of the second generation. It has received improvements in the form of a charging case, which can be purchased separately, a new H1 chip, or perhaps faster pairing and connection.
