Apple's AirPods wireless headphones are the company's second best-selling product. Despite being around for quite some time, their second generation is just around the corner according to many speculations and analyses.
Not only sales as such are on the rise, but also virtual interest in headphones – the search rate for them on Google increased by 500% year-on-year. This is a 2016-fold increase from searches for the term "AirPods" on Google in December XNUMX - when Apple introduced the headphones.
AirPods also happened the huge hit of last Christmas, when the search index was 100, while in the pre-Christmas period in 2017 it was 20 and the year before even only 10. In terms of success in the two years since its launch, AirPods are surpassed only by the iPad. These are the data of the company Above Avalon, which in the analysis always used data from two years after the introduction of the entire segment of the given products.
The aforementioned higher interest is relatively closely related to stronger sales. Neil Cybart of Above Avalon estimates that Apple could sell 2019 million pairs of AirPods in 40, a nearly 90% year-over-year increase.
"Almost 25 million people are already wearing AirPods," points out Cybart. For a two-year-old product that has yet to be updated and whose relatively high price tag rarely drops, this is a remarkable feat.
Speculations about the second generation of AirPods have been revived recently. For example, there is talk of a black version, new functions, improved bass and, of course, a higher price.
Airpods taught me to listen to music again. It's really cool. Especially the combination with AW. But I also use it a lot on Apple TV. Wired headphones have always annoyed me beyond belief. The wire kept getting tangled. Keep dragging it through your clothes. A couple of times it happened that I tripped over the wire and damaged the socket. I'm not an audiophile, so I'm happy with the quality of the music. I like that it has a very balanced sound. It's not over-bassed like most headphones. It's also a blast in the car. Hands free, no obligation, works, the cops don't mind. I'm curious about the two.
Well, that's a decent fall. Plastic, low-quality toys, giant and ugly shops. With shocking wearability. Can you still fall down? What does the owner look like with these in his ears, I'd rather not mention them???
Before someone writes their pseudo-wisdom to me, I recommend you to see how the competition from Sony, Bose, Bang Olufsen, Sennheiser looks and plays. I don't care how you sell yourself. There is no discussion about that.
No wonder, eh, when every other person has already bought a second pair because he lost the first Airpods ?♂️?
That's probably the risk of all wireless headphones. I've had them for almost a year. Girlfriend for more than half a year. We haven't lost a single one. And that's pretty much all I do with it. I also go jogging.
