The iPhone 7 is far from being defined by this feature, but so far the most talked about in connection with it is the absence of a classic 3,5 mm jack for connecting headphones. So, at the appropriate point in Wednesday's presentation, Apple tried to focus on the arrival of the new rather than the departure of the old: wireless headphones.
Packing new iPhones it will include classic EarPods headphones with a Lightning connector and a converter from Lightning to 3,5 mm jack. Although there will be more cables than usual, Apple wants to encourage their elimination. Phil Schiller spent a significant part of his presence on stage talking about the wireless version of EarPods, the new AirPods headphones.

On the outside, they actually look like the well-known basic Apple headphones, only missing something (a cable). However, they hide quite a few interesting components in their body and, rather funnyly sticking out of their ears, legs. The main one is, of course, the wireless chip, designated W1, which Apple made itself and employed to provide the connection and process the sound.
Combined with accelerometers and optical sensors built into the earphones, the W1 can recognize when the user puts the earphone in his ear, when he takes it out, when he is on the phone with someone and when he wants to listen to music. Tapping the handset activates Siri. Both earphones are functionally the same, so there is no need to pull out e.g. only the left and not the right earphone to interrupt playback, etc.
In the classic Apple spirit of a simple user experience with sophisticated technologies, the method of connecting the headphones to the source of data to be converted into sound is also the same. The given device will offer one-click pairing automatically after opening the headphone box near it. This applies to iOS devices, Apple Watch, and computers. Even after pairing with one, you can then easily switch to connecting to another.
In addition to pairing and carrying, the headphone box also has a role in charging. At once, it is able to transfer enough energy to the AirPods for 5 hours of listening and contains a built-in battery with energy corresponding to 24 hours of listening. After fifteen minutes of charging, AirPods are able to play music for 3 hours. All values apply to playback of tracks in AAC format with a data rate of 256 kb/s at half the maximum possible volume.
AirPods should be compatible with all Apple devices with iOS 10, watchOS 3 or macOS Sierra installed and will be available at the end of October for 4 crowns.
The W1 chip is also built into three new models of Beats headphones. Beats Solo 3 are a wireless version of the classic Beats headband headphones, Powerbeats3 are a hardware-free version of the sports model, and BeatsX are a completely new, wireless model of small ear buds.
For all of them, the connection menu with an Apple device will appear after turning on the headphones near the given device. Fast charging for all three will be ensured by "Fast Fuel" technology. Five minutes of charging will be enough for three hours of listening with the Solo3 headphones, two hours with the BeatsX and one hour with the Powerbeats3.
The new line of wireless Beats headphones will be available "in the fall", with BeatsX costing 4 crowns, Powerbeats199 will lighten the wallet by 3 crowns, and those interested in the Beats Solo5 will need 499 crowns.
The new Airpods are the only thing that caught my attention at yesterday's presentation, finally new technology from Apple. I am not thinking about upgrading my mobile (I have a 5s), but I am thinking about the new Airpods….
Probably, just a shame they're gross.
I don't find them disgusting so much as impractical. Imagine that one of your spikes falls out while running and you search for it in the leaves. Or it will fit somewhere in the machine in the fitness center. Or in a crowded bus among people.
I'm also thinking about it and I don't know what the solution is :)
Simple, and it's already been invented. Headphones connected by rubber. :D :D I personally don't know what's wrong with the classic design of wireless plugs.
I also thought that the shape didn't suit me. Actually, not even the shape, but the smoothness. Earpods don't fit well in my ear, I once even tried putting a rubber ring on them. So if the head was rubberized instead of shiny and smooth, it would be great. Probably not like this.
A certain variant would be the BeatsX Headphones, which should contain the same technology…
If I ignore the design, which is impractical, Apple did not show any control with these headphones except receiving a call, which proves something.
If I understood it correctly, by tapping it you activate Siri, which says the instruction. Which is the fulfillment of an old dream of a sci-fi fan, but I can't imagine myself talking to Siri about the need to lower the volume of the music playing in a crowd of people. In the words of a classic: "The world has changed..." :o)
But if someone throws out something like 25 for a new 32 because the XNUMX gig version is unusable, I have a recommendation for these pioneers, and that is headphones from the Bragi company, watch the video http://www.bragi.com against them are headphones from Apple, both from the Stone Age and headphones from beats, not even for free
Very interesting option, but probably quite expensive. 300€ plus VAT and duty.. but I don't know if the sound shift will be like that, given the technology. From what I've seen there, it's probably just pre-orders. I'll try to look up the tests somewhere.
Unlike you, I bought Dash from Bragi - and quickly returned them. With the iPhone (6s) it's useless. The Bluetooth connection to the phone keeps dropping out, you have to have it close to your ear with direct line of sight, it can't even be in your pocket let alone on the other side of your body. The promised Audio Transparency feature doesn't work — it amplifies wind noise from fast walking, let alone running, so that nothing else can be heard. Apple would never release headphones in this condition.
He is the reason why AirPods have those tails — a quality BT antenna simply has to be put somewhere...

Am I the only one whose EarPods (or what's the name of the wired crap from the iP5 vejš) can last for a month because humus from the ears gets into those headphones and it totally screws them up? I keep my ears clean, but I can already see how I will buy headphones for ten grand from apple to last me a month and then when I make a claim they tell me that it is a defect due to external influences.
Yes. I still have headphones from 5S and 6S and they still work :)
You have it working, so I'm the only one.
You are the only one. They've been holding me and my girlfriend for a year and we go jogging, to the gym and the like with them, i.e. they're exposed to external influences, sweat, etc. I always wipe them with a cotton swab once in a while and keep going.
That's what I'll look like-I just say never
