We are at the beginning of February they wrote about a specific bug in Adobe Premiere Pro that could permanently damage MacBook Pro speakers. Two weeks passed before Adobe finally came up with a solution in the form of a patch that brings the latest updates. All users of the program can download it here through Creative Cloud for macOS.

The bug only affected Premiere Pro and only affected MacBook Pros. The problem most often manifested itself when adjusting the video sound settings, when significantly loud sounds were heard during the configuration and both speakers were irreversibly damaged. The repair cost the unfortunate people $600 (approx. CZK 13). The amount of the service climbed mainly because, in addition to the speakers, the keyboard, trackpad and battery had to be replaced, since the components are connected to each other.

The first cases appeared already in November of last year, but Adobe only started solving the problem during this month, when the media began to inform about the error. As a temporary solution, the company advised disabling the microphone in Preferences –> Audio Hardware –> Default Input –> No Input.

With a new one version 13.0.3 but the error in Premiere Pro should be solved definitively. However, the question remains whether Adobe intends to offer some form of compensation to the affected users. So far, the company has not officially commented on the issue.
