TV Nova, or server TN.cz posted this hot information a day late:
Samsung sent 30 fully loaded trucks with a billion dollars in nickels to its competitor's headquarters. The portal novarist.sk wrote about the case. But according to the legal documents, this does not contradict anything, because the method of payment is not written in them.
The trucks contained a total of 20 billion five-cent coins with a total weight of 570 tons. At first, the security did not want to let the cars into the Apple premises, they only entered after a phone call between the representatives of the two companies. In an interview, Samsung CEO Lee Kun-hee reportedly told Apple boss Tim Cook to either buy vending machines or melt down the coins to make phones.
Some laugh at this hilarious alarm report, others shake their heads in disbelief, TV Nova is sensational (and embarrassed) about it. This is of course nonsense for several reasons:
- There aren't even that many 5 cent coins in circulation in America.
- Over twenty billion five-cent coins (5 g each) would weigh 100 tons, and more than 000 trucks would be needed to transport them.
- The stipulated compensation is not yet binding, so Samsung cannot even pay it.
The message from the website was quietly taken down after a few hours.
It didn't surprise me too much :-D I'll bet five bucks that it will also be in Blesk, Aha and other baked slices :-D
I would add two more reasons.
– Apple could laugh at them, because (but I'm guessing) there will be the same norm as here, that you can reject more than ten coins of the same value.
– Samsung would break the law because, just like here, there will be a standard that prohibits handing over cash higher than (in our case approx. 500 CZK).
Can you please tell me under which law (and please include the exact section and paragraph) someone can refuse 10 coins of the same value or cannot hand over cash worth more than I quote: "approx. 500 CZK". Thank you
and 10 coins – CNB Decree No. 37 (§1/1)
ad approx. 500 CZK – Act No. 000/254 Coll. §2004/4 – I’m sorry, I missed it here – in the law it is EUR 1 – i.e. approx. 15 CZK (originally in the law it was 000 CZK, then they changed it to euros)
and 10 coins - CNB Decree No. 37 (§1/1) and approx. 500 CZK - Act No. 000/254 Coll. §2004/4 – I’m sorry, I missed it here – in the law it is EUR 1 – i.e. approx. 15 CZK (originally in the law it was 000 CZK, then they changed it to euros)
about a minute on google and two minutes when writing a comment... but it was obviously a problem for John Doe... bravo, Radosto...
Nova is the same as our Markiza - boulevard, disasters and crime stories...
NJN... TN.cz should close their shop... it's ridiculous and besides, they can't even write in Czech...
This is truly a travesty.. just the fact that someone would think of handing over such an amount in cash…
Why did the last sentence disappear from the article? Has anyone heard from Nova?
No, we just didn't want to be so attacking.
I don't watch Nova, but if it's anything like the Slovak TV shows, it wasn't offensive at all... :-)
lately, Nova has been getting closer and closer to lightning, the rhythm of life, etc…..it's amazing how low it can go.
the named TV has already apologized, there was a mistake, in fact Samsung sent Apple a food voucher for the given value with the message - eat up
:-D
