In less than a week, we will know what the iPhone 14 generation looks like and if Apple will confirm all the leaks that we already know about this quartet of company phones. One of the most frequently reported innovations is the redesign of the cutout in the display of the iPhone 14 Pro models, but the speaker also goes hand in hand with it. But nobody cares about him, which is a mistake.
The speaker of iPhones with Touch ID was always in the middle above the display, when the front camera and the necessary sensors were centered around it. With the arrival of the iPhone X, Apple did practically nothing with it, only placed its TrueDept camera around it and again the necessary sensors, but already in the display cutout. It did not reach its appearance for three more years, when the iPhone XS (XR), 11 and 12 did not receive any redesign. Only last year with the iPhone 13, Apple reduced the entire cutout, moved the speaker more to the upper frame (and narrowed it and stretched it), and the camera and placed the sensors under him.
It goes even better
The design of the iPhones is unique, but aside from the protruding camera assembly, the speaker is the biggest design file of Apple. It is not only unsightly, but also impractical. Its fine grid likes to get dirty and is relatively difficult to clean, but mainly this element is as distracting as the entire cut-out.
At the same time, we know that it can be done better in such a way that the speaker does not have to be practically visible on the front of the device. Let Samsung's Galaxy S21 series be an example. He was able to move it even higher, basically to the border between the display and the phone's frame, where it is incredibly narrow, even if noticeably longer. But this element is not visible at all at first glance. A user ignorant of the issues could even claim that Samsung phones have no speaker on their front side.
According to the first renderings and the information available so far, Apple will rework the speaker slightly again, i.e. make it narrower and longer. But it will still be here and it will still be covered by the grid. Then if you look at the materials that somehow try to describe the change in the cutout that will become the holes, they prefer to ignore the speaker completely.
The speaker itself is also one of the components that Apple services change most often, along with the battery and broken display. If you are an avid telephone user, it will gradually become quieter. Of course, dirt and clogging of the grid does not add to it either. So let's hope that Apple will at least focus on the speaker in the iPhone 14 Pro, and not leave it in the state it is in now with the iPhone 13 or in any renders. Since he's going to remove the cutout here, one would hope that he won't forget about the speaker.
Oh yeah, there's a war raging in Ukraine, the climate crisis is gaining momentum, people are suffering from poverty and hunger in various parts of the planet, and the world is dealing with such crap as the appearance of the cutout and speaker placement on iPhones.
And if the cutouts weren't solved, wouldn't there be hunger🤔?
Good answer 👍🏻

Regarding your hate speech: in recent years there have been more than 100 conflicts, what did you write then?
Moron 👌
But if it was at least something useful, but it has long been on other phones………… the sheep have nothing to eat…..
Moron
so I'd say you're wrong here. If you want to solve a similar problem, I recommend visiting the portal dedicated to it. However, Ukraine must be crushed.
@Hemi famine in uncivilized parts of the world sucks. They are hungry because they chose to be.
At the same time, it is an invented problem that is not a problem at all.
If there is no grid, the mess will be right in the speaker. And unlike the grid, no one will clean it.
Mr. "editor" should have been a designer at Apple. I feel sorry for him here.
It's sad what the Rytnavkář is waiting for, they have other phones for years..
That's right, some kind of speaker is completely out of my ass. Just clickbait again… you guys are embarrassing.
@Adam Kos Samsung's speaker is great, but what about the asymmetrical frame around the display? That deserves its own article.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ have symmetrical bezels.
