If you ask an apple lover what his favorite season of the year is, he will calmly answer that it is autumn. It is precisely in autumn that Apple traditionally prepares several conferences at which we will see the introduction of new products and accessories. This year's first autumn conference is already behind the door and it is practically certain that we will see the introduction of the iPhone 13 (Pro), the Apple Watch Series 7 and quite possibly the third generation AirPods. That is exactly why we have prepared a mini-series of articles for our readers, in which we will look at the things we expect from the new products - we will start with the cherry on the cake in the form of the iPhone 13 Pro (Max).

Smaller top cut

The iPhone X was the first Apple phone to feature a notch. It was introduced in 2017 and determined how Apple phones would look in the next few years. In particular, this cut-out hides the front camera and the complete Face ID technology, which is completely unique and so far no one else has managed to create it. At the moment, however, the cutout itself is relatively large, and it was already expected to be reduced in the iPhone 12 – unfortunately in vain. However, according to the available information, we should already be able to see a definitive reduction of the cutout in this year's "thirteens". Hopefully. ProMotion display with 120 Hz

What has been talked about for a long time in connection with the iPhone 13 Pro is the ProMotion display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Even in this case, we expected to see this display with the arrival of last year's iPhone 12 Pro. Expectations were high, but we didn't get it, and the great ProMotion display remained the dominant feature of the iPad Pro. However, if we take into account the available leaked information about the iPhone 13 Pro, it looks like we will finally see it this year, and that the Apple ProMotion display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz will finally arrive, which will satisfy many individuals.

Always-On support

If you own an Apple Watch Series 5 or newer, you're probably using the Always-On feature. This feature is related to the display, and specifically, thanks to it, it is possible to keep the display on all the time, without significantly reducing the battery life. This is because the refresh rate of the display switches to just 1 Hz, which means that the display is updated only once per second - and this is precisely why Always-On is not demanding on the battery. It has been speculated for some time that Always-On will also appear on the iPhone 13 - but it is certainly not possible to say with such certainty as in the case of ProMotion. We have no choice but to hope.

Camera improvements

In recent years, the world's smartphone manufacturers have been competing to come up with a better camera, i.e. photo system. For example, Samsung constantly brags about cameras that offer a resolution of several hundred megapixels, but the truth is that megapixels are no longer the data we should be interested in when choosing a camera. Apple has been sticking to "just" 12 megapixels for its lenses for several years now, and if you compare the resulting images with the competition, you'll find that they're often much better. This year's camera improvements are more than clear as they happen every year. However, it is impossible to say with precision what exactly we will see. For example, a portrait mode for video is rumored, while improvements to night mode and others are also in the works.

An even more powerful and even more economical chip

Who are we going to lie to ourselves - if we look at the chips from Apple, we will find out that they are absolutely top-notch. Among other things, the Californian giant confirmed this to us about a year ago with its own Apple Silicon chips, namely the first generation with the designation M1. These chips beat in the guts of Apple computers and, in addition to being really powerful, they are also extremely economical. Similar chips are also part of iPhones, but they are labeled A-series. There have been speculations that this year's "thirteens" should feature the aforementioned M1 chips, following the example of the iPad Pro, but this is highly unlikely. Apple will almost certainly use the A15 Bionic chip, which should be about 20% more powerful. Certainly, the A15 Bionic chip will also be more economical, but it is necessary to mention that the ProMotion display will be more demanding on the battery, so you cannot fully count on increased endurance.

Bigger battery (faster charging)

If you ask Apple fans about the one thing they would welcome in the new iPhones, then in many cases the answer will be the same - a bigger battery. However, if you look at the battery size of the iPhone 11 Pro and compare it to the battery size of the iPhone 12 Pro, you will find that there has been no increase in capacity, but a decrease. So this year, we cannot really count on the fact that we will see a larger battery. However, Apple is trying to smooth out this shortcoming with faster charging. Currently, the iPhone 12 can be charged with a power of up to 20 watts, but it would definitely not be out of place if the Apple company came up with even faster charging support for the "XNUMXs".

Reverse wireless charging

Apple phones have been capable of classic wireless charging since 2017, when the iPhone X, i.e. the iPhone 8 (Plus), was introduced. However, the arrival of reverse wireless charging has been talked about for about two years now. Thanks to this function, you could use your iPhone to charge your AirPods, for example - just place them on the back of the Apple phone. Some form of reverse charging is available with the MagSafe battery and the iPhone 12, which may hint at something. In addition, there have also been speculations that the "thirteens" are to offer a larger charging coil, which may also be a minor hint. However, this cannot be confirmed, so we will have to wait.

1 TB of storage for the most demanding

If you decide to buy the iPhone 12 Pro, you will get 128 GB of storage in the basic configuration. At present, this is already a minimum in a way. More demanding users can go for the 256 GB or 512 GB variant. However, it is rumored that for the iPhone 13 Pro, Apple could offer a top variant with a storage capacity of 1 TB. However, we certainly wouldn't be angry if Apple completely "jumped". The basic variant could thus have a storage of 256 GB, in addition to this variant, we would welcome a medium variant with 512 GB of storage and a top variant with a combined capacity of 1 TB. Even in this case, however, this information is not substantiated.
