Change hotkey for recall

There are several ways to access the Mission Control interface. You can use a keyboard shortcut or a gesture on the trackpad. In the first case, you just need to press the keyboard shortcut Control + up arrow, in the second case, you just need to swipe up on the trackpad with three fingers. If you would like to change the hotkey for recall, go to  → System Preferences → Mission Control, where click below menu next to Mission Control and choose one of the shortcuts or keys. Create a new desktop

As soon as you move to the Mission Control interface using a shortcut or trackpad, you will see a bar at the top. Within this bar, there can be individual surfaces, between which you can then switch, either directly by tapping, or by swiping three fingers on the trackpad from left to right or from right to left. If you want create a new desktop, so just tap on in the upper right corner the + icon. In case you would like change the order of surfaces, it's that simple grab with the cursor and shuffle as needed. For surface removal then move the cursor over it and click on cross in the corner.

Transforming the application into a new desktop

Every app you move to full screen mode will automatically create a new desktop. This is a really simple procedure, in any case, it is definitely worth knowing that you can create a new desktop with a full-screen application directly within the Mission Control interface. You just need to be specific the application was caught by the cursor, and then moved towards upper lane with all surfaces. Once you place the app here, it will automatically move to full screen mode and create a new desktop with it.

Using Split View from two applications

macOS includes a Split View feature that allows you to view two apps side by side on the screen, which can come in handy in many situations. You can start Split View simply by holding the green dot in the upper left corner of the window and then choosing where you want to place the first half. You then select the application that appears on the second half of the screen. However, you can also activate Split View within Mission Control. Simply move the first app, as we showed on the previous page, to the upper strip with surfaces. Subsequently below use the cursor to take the second application and move it to the already existing desktop with the first application you created. This will put both apps in Split View mode.

Desktop preview

If you click the cursor on an area within Mission Control, you will automatically move to it. But in a certain situation, it might be useful for you not to move directly to the desktop, but only to display its preview. Otherwise, you would have to open Mission Control repeatedly, which is tedious. The good news is that there is an option to preview the desktop in Mission Control. Assign applications from the Dock to a specific desktop

Individual surfaces can be useful, for example, to alternate between them during the day. For example, you can have an area for work in the morning and an area for entertainment in the afternoon. But the problem is that new apps you launch always appear on the active desktop. But for applications, you can directly set which desktop they should run on, which is handy. It is enough that you Dock tapped on application on the right and subsequently ran into the possibility Elections.
