In just a few hours, one of the most anticipated Apple Keynotes of the year will start. This is none other than the so-called September conference, at which we traditionally see the presentation of several new products. While in other years the program was not particularly busy, this year's conference is bursting with content. In total, we should expect 7 new products already on September 2022, 6, so we definitely have something to look forward to. Let's take a look at all these products together in this article and say a few sentences about them with information about what we can expect.

iPhone 14 (Max)

The September Apple Keynote is traditionally associated with the arrival of new iPhones, with a few exceptions. Just like last year, this year we will see the presentation of a total of four models, two of which are classics. The difference, however, is that this year we will not see the mini variant, but will be replaced by the Max variant (or Plus, there are disputes regarding the name of the larger variant). The general unpopularity of the smallest model outside of Europe is to blame. Compared to last year's iPhone 14 (Max) model, it does not offer anything very special.

The same A15 Bionic chip will be used, but the RAM will be increased to 6 GB. The display will have 2532 x 1170 pixels, respectively 2778 x 1284 pixels in the case of the Max variant, and there will still be a cutout in the upper part. Do not expect significant changes in terms of the camera - the 12 MP dual photo system will continue to be available. Charging should also be accelerated and we will be able to choose from six colors: green, blue, black, white, red and purple. As far as prices are concerned, we expect an increase to CZK 25, or CZK 990 in the case of the 28 Max model.

iPhone 14 Pro (Max)

This year, the top line of iPhones labeled Pro will be much more interesting. Just like last year, we will see the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, and it is important to mention that there will be a lot of news, and significant ones. The Pro models should be the only ones to offer the brand new and most advanced A16 Bionic chip, for which we expect a 15% increase in performance and a 30% increase in graphics performance. The chip will be backed by 6GB of RAM, just like last year's models, but there should be up to a 50% increase in bandwidth. The display will also receive a redesign, which will finally offer always-on and, of course, ProMotion. iPhone 14 will then offer a 6.1″ display with a resolution of 2564 x 1183 pixels, 14 Pro Max traditionally a 6.7″ display with a resolution of 2802 x 1294 pixels. In the case of the Pro models, the cut-out will also be removed, to be replaced by two holes, or an elongated roller.

We also expect a proper upgrade of the wide-angle lens, to a resolution of 48 MP with the possibility of shooting in up to 8K and a pixel binning function for better photos in the dark. The front camera should offer automatic focus and f/1.9 aperture. The battery will be practically the same as the previous generation, but the charging power should be increased to 30+ W. The iPhone 14 Pro (Max) will be available in four colors: silver, space gray, gold and dark purple. In the case of storage, the basic 128 GB variant will finally be removed, so it will start at 256 GB, and users will then get 512 GB or 1 TB for an additional fee. But it won't be just like that - the price is to increase not only due to the increase in basic capacity. The iPhone 14 Pro will most likely start at CZK 32 and the larger 490 Pro Max at CZK 14. The most expensive variant in the form of the iPhone 35 Pro Max with 490 TB will cost CZK 14.

Apple Watch Series 8

Alongside iPhones, we will of course also see the new generation of Apple Watch, Series 8. However, don't expect any extra changes compared to the previous generation. There will be two variants, namely 41mm and 45mm, there will be always-on support. Traditionally, Apple deploys a "new" chip, this time the S8, but it won't be completely new. It's actually supposed to be a rebranded S7 chip, which in turn is a rebranded S6 chip - in fact, the S8 will most likely be a two-year-old chip with a new name. In any case, we would most likely have a special energy-saving mode, thanks to which the watch can last several days on a single charge. In terms of sensors and health features, we can look forward to the same as the Series 7, i.e. EKG, blood oxygen saturation, fall detection, etc. However, a body thermometer and possibly traffic accident detection should be added, along with improved activity tracking. The colors should be reduced to dark inky, starry white and red, which is the only one to offer a different shade. The price should be identical to the previous generation, i.e. 10 CZK for the smaller version and 990 CZK for the larger one... but maybe there will be a slight price increase.

Apple Watch SE2

Alongside the Apple Watch Series 8, we will certainly also see the introduction of a cheaper model in the form of the second generation SE. The first generation came out two years ago, so it's more or less about time. Considering that it will be a cheap model, it will come with the original design without always-on, in 40 mm and 44 mm variants. The chip installed in this model should also be the latest with the designation S8, even though the SE is a cheaper model. However, as already mentioned, the S8 will be practically identical to the S7 and S6, so Apple will definitely not be hurt, on the contrary, it will profit from it, since it used "the best and latest chip even in the cheapest watches" for marketing purposes. We would probably have to wait for the arrival of the EKG, but probably not the blood oxygen saturation measurement, as well as the body temperature sensor. With the arrival of the Apple Watch SE 2, the pointless and five-year-old Series 3 will certainly no longer be sold. As for the colors, there will be three classic ones, namely silver, space gray and gold. The price tag will be the same as for the first generation SE, namely CZK 7 and CZK 990 respectively. However, there may be a slight increase in price.

Apple WatchPro

Yes, this year we will certainly see the introduction of three new Apple Watches. The cherry on the cake should be the Apple Watch Pro, which has only recently been widely talked about. It will be a top model, which will be intended primarily for lovers of extreme sports. The Apple Watch Pro will be available in a single variant with a case size of 47 mm. The body will be made of titanium and will reach a bit higher, up to the level of the display. Thanks to this, the display will not be rounded, but flat, so the possibility of damage is minimized. On the right side there should be a protrusion with a digital crown and a button, then one button should be added on the left side of the body. The display should be larger, specifically with a diagonal of 1.99″ and a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels, the straps from classic models will probably be compatible, but they will not look ideal.

Like the Series 8 and SE 2, the Pro model will of course also offer the S8 chip, due to the larger body, we should also be able to wait for the already mentioned low consumption mode. In terms of sensors and health functions, they won't be any better than the Series 8 and will only come with a body temperature sensor, possibly with traffic accident detection and improved activity tracking. In reality, the Apple Watch Pro will be mainly intended for use in extreme sports, as it will stand out above all for its durability. They should be available in two colors, namely titanium and titanium black. The price rises to approximately CZK 28, which is the price of the basic iPhone 990 Pro.

AirPods Pro 2

The last product presented at the September Apple Keynote should finally be the second generation AirPods Pro, which will also offer several great improvements. Thanks to the deployment of Bluetooth 5.3 and the ability to use LE Audio, we should expect better sound, longer battery life, the ability to connect multiple AirPods to one iPhone, connect to multiple devices at once, and more. At the same time, AirPods Pro 2 will offer better noise suppression and, finally, the ability to search for individual headphones via Find. There is also a lot of talk about the fact that the second-generation AirPods Pro could learn to track activity, so that in a way they would stand in for the functionality of the Apple Watch, although of course, most certainly not as well. Last but not least, we should expect more sizes of attachments in the package. An improved H1 chip should be installed, and the question is whether the Lightning connector will turn into USB-C - but that will probably only happen with the arrival of USB-C in the iPhone 15 (Pro) next year.
