Now we know what all the speculations from the last weeks and months have been confirmed and what information leaks were really true. It must be said that there were most of them, but there are a few that were horribly wrong and we didn't get to see them. Let's see what they are in this article.

If we look at all the summaries, they clearly state that when the iPhone 14 pro gets a 48MPx camera, it will learn to record video in 8K. But that didn't happen in the end. Apple has only provided 4K quality to its movie mode, and in the case of the whole range, also with regard to the front-facing camera. But why it does not bring this option to the iPhone 13, when they have an almost identical chip to the iPhone 14 series, is a moot question as well as whether anyone will use 8K recording at all.

256GB base storage and 2TB largest storage
With how Apple was supposed to bring a 14MPx camera to the 48 Pro models, it was also discussed whether it would raise the basic storage. It didn't pick up, so we still start at 128 GB. But when you consider that a photo from a new wide-angle camera will be up to 100 MB in ProRes format, you will soon have a space problem for the basic storage. Even the highest, which is 1 TB, did not jump. We don't even want to know how much Apple would charge for an extra 2 TB.

A periscope telephoto lens and a foldable iPhone
And the camera for the last time. At one time it was also discussed that Apple should already come with a periscope telephoto lens. Rather than leaks, it was pure speculation, which of course was not confirmed. Apple still does not believe in this technology and relies on its triple camera system. As we already know, even bold rumors that we should expect a foldable iPhone have not been confirmed. But this is not surprising.

The competition in the form of Android phones hides it either in the power button, as is the case with the iPad Air, for example, or under the display. Not only with regard to EU regulations, many believed that the iPhone 14 would be the ones to switch to USB-C. The braver ones even claimed that Apple will completely remove the power port from its new products and it will only be possible to charge them wirelessly, primarily through MagSafe. We didn't get one, instead Apple removed the SIM tray on its home turf, but kept Lightning for everyone.

Satellite communication did come, but it must be said that only by half. We thought that it would also be possible to make phone calls, but Apple only indicated the possibility of sending messages. But what is not now, may be in the future, when the company debugs the basic operation of the service and the connection itself. A lot depends on the signal, which will not be of any quality without an external antenna. We then hope that the coverage will also expand.
