In this regular column, every day we look at the most interesting news that revolves around the California company Apple. Here we focus exclusively on the main events and selected (interesting) speculations. So if you are interested in current events and want to be informed about the apple world, definitely spend a few minutes on the following paragraphs.

Apple has shared details on an iOS 14 feature that supports user privacy

In June, on the occasion of the WWDC 2020 developer conference, we saw the official presentation of the upcoming operating systems. Of course, iOS 14 was able to attract the main attention. It will bring a wide range of new features to Apple users, including widgets, a picture-in-picture function, new Messages and better notifications for incoming calls. At the same time, users' privacy will also be improved, as the App Store will now show each application's permissions and whether it collects certain data.

The California giant shared a new one on its developer site today dokument, which is focused on the last mentioned gadget. Specifically, this is detailed information that the developers themselves will have to provide to the App Store. Apple relies on programmers for this.

The App Store itself will subsequently publish for each application whether it collects data for user tracking, advertising, analysis, functionality and more. You can view more detailed information in the mentioned document.

Only the iPhone 5 Pro Max may offer a fast 12G connection

The presentation of the new iPhone 12 is slowly around the corner. According to the leaks so far, there should be four models, two of which will boast the designation Pro. The design of this Apple phone should return "to the roots" and resemble the iPhone 4 or 5, and at the same time we should expect full support for 5G connectivity. But that brings an interesting question into the discussion. What kind of 5G is this?

iPhone 12 Pro (concept):

There are two different technologies available. Faster mmWave and then slower but generally more widespread sub-6Hz. According to the latest information from the Fast Company portal, it looks like only the largest iPhone 12 Pro Max will get the more advanced mmWave technology. The technology is space-intensive and simply cannot fit into smaller iPhones. Anyway, no need to hang your head. Both versions of the 5G connection are obviously much faster than the 4G/LTE used so far.

But if you really want a faster version and are willing to pay extra for the mentioned iPhone 12 Pro Max, be very careful. Although this technology offers first-class speed, the question is whether you will even be able to achieve it. The equipment of the world's operators does not yet indicate this. Only citizens of larger cities in the United States of America, South Korea and Japan will be able to use the maximum potential of the device.

Japanese developers complain about Apple and its App Store

We are currently closely following the development of the dispute between Apple and Epic Games, which, by the way, is the publisher of one of the most popular games today - Fortnite. Specifically, Epic is bothered by the fact that the Californian giant takes a huge fee of 30 percent of the total amount for microtransactions. Japanese developers are also newly added to this. They are dissatisfied not only with the given fee, but in general with the entire App Store and its functioning.

According to Bloomberg magazine, several Japanese developers have already defended Epic Games in a lawsuit against Apple. Specifically, they are upset that the verification process of the applications themselves is unfair to the developers, and that for so much money (reference to the 30% share) they deserve better treatment. Makoto Shoji, the founder of PrimeTheory Inc., also commented on the whole situation, saying that Apple's verification process is unclear, highly subjective and irrational. Another criticism from Shoji was timely. Simple verification often takes weeks, and it's very difficult to get any support from Apple.

How the whole situation will develop further is, of course, unclear for now. However, we will inform you in time about all current news.
