iPhone, like any other portable device, needs to be charged regularly. We then use the battery status indicator to determine when charging is needed. There are several different ways you can view the battery status of your Apple phone. Let's take a look at 5 of them together in this article, first showing all possible procedures directly within iOS, and finally showing how to view iPhone battery status on your Mac, which can be useful in some cases. Let's get straight to the point.

Control Center

On every Apple phone, a battery icon is displayed in the right part of the top bar, thanks to which you can approximately determine the state of charge of the battery. But there is a procedure you can use to see the exact percentages. On older iPhones with Touch ID, just go to Settings → Battery, where enable Battery Status – the battery percentage will then be displayed in the upper bar next to the battery. However, on newer iPhones with Face ID, due to the cutout, there is not enough space to display this information. The battery status in percentages is thus displayed automatically on these newer phones, without the need for any activation, po opening the control center. Open it by swiping from the upper right edge of the display with your finger downwards. The percentage of battery charge will then be displayed in the upper right.

widget

The second way you can see the battery status on your iPhone is through a widget. As part of iOS, we recently saw a really big overhaul of widgets, which are more modern and simpler, which absolutely everyone will appreciate. Now in iOS you can choose one of three widgets that will show you information (not only) about the state of charge of your battery. To add the Battery widget, go to your iPhone's home page, swipe to the far left of your desktop, where get down and tap on Edit. Then press the top left the + icon and locate the widget Battery, which you click on. Then choose which widget you want to use and press the button below it + Add a widget. You can then simply move the position of the widget by holding down your finger and dragging it to any place, even to individual pages between applications.

The voice assistant Siri also knows the exact state of charge of your iPhone's battery. You can use this method, for example, when you can't take your iPhone in your hand and you need to find out if there is a risk of early discharge. In addition, the good news is that Siri will tell you about the battery status even if the Apple phone is locked, which is convenient. If you want to ask Siri about the battery status, ask her first evoke and that either by holding down the side button or the desktop button, or by saying the activation command Hey Siri. After that, all you have to do is say the sentence What is my battery life?. Siri will then respond immediately and tell you the exact percentage of battery charge.

Charging

If your iPhone discharges to 20 or 10%, a dialog box will appear on the screen informing you of this fact. You can then close this window, or activate Low Power Mode through it. If you activate this mode on older iPhones with Touch ID, the percentage of battery status will automatically start to be displayed in the right part of the upper bar, unless you have it activated by default. In addition, the exact state of charge of the iPhone's battery will be displayed to you if it start charging both via cable and wirelessly. All you have to do is connect the phone to the power supply and then the screen will light up, on which the charging information will be displayed, together with the percentage of the battery.

On a Mac

As I promised in the introduction, we will show the last tip for viewing the iPhone battery charge status on a Mac. From time to time, even this option can come in handy, for example, if you simply want to see how the iPhone is charged in terms of charging, without having to pick it up. It should be mentioned that in older versions of iOS it was possible to simply view the percentage of the iPhone's battery. Currently, however, it is only possible to display the battery icon natively, by which you can determine the approximate state of charge. You can do so if you have an active hotspot on your iPhone by tapping on Wi-Fi icon in the top bar on your Mac. In addition, you can also find information about the charge in the application Find, where just go to Device, tap on your iPhone, and then on icon ⓘ, where the battery icon will already appear. If you don't mind paying for an app that will tell you the battery status of all your Apple devices from the comfort of your Apple computer, then I can recommend the one called Air Buddy 2 or Batteries.
