Environment

Apple has a certain code for its entire supply chain that every company must follow and comply with. These are, for example, rainwater. Suppliers must therefore have a systematic approach in place to prevent contamination of runoff rainwater. Of course, they must not illegally discharge any sewage into the sewers. They must also regulate the noise levels that their establishments emit, as well as responsibly control air emissions, etc. It is also important zero waste policy.

Human rights

In 2021, Apple supported more than 60 organizations, including those working to protect human rights and the environment, working in their own communities around the world. The company has even been involved in supporting whistle-blowing mechanisms in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which allow people in and around mining communities to anonymously report concerns related to mineral extraction, trade, disposal and illegal export.
