With the release of new versions of operating systems, Apple constantly comes up with new features that are often definitely worth it. Currently, the (not only) Apple phone is so packed with various functions that practically no user can have a 5% overview of them. Even though I've been personally writing about Apple for several years, I'm constantly coming up with things I didn't know about at all. In this article, we'll take a look at XNUMX interesting things your iPhone can do that you probably didn't know about. Let's get straight to the point.

Constant eye contact during a FaceTime call

Especially in the current coronavirus era, most of us use various video communicators more than ever before. Unfortunately, the risk of contracting the coronavirus is still relatively high, and if you want to protect yourself as much as possible, you should ideally stay at home. You can use several different applications to connect with your family, but FaceTime seems to be the best option for Apple users anyway. This native application is used to communicate between multiple users, you can use both audio and video calls. During a video call, we all look at the display and not at the camera, which is completely natural - but this can come across as strange on the other side. That's why Apple has developed a function that, with the help of artificial intelligence, can adjust the eyes to maintain constant eye contact. To activate this feature, go to Settings -> FaceTime, where the switch activate function Eye contact.

Side buttons for QuickTake and sequence

With the arrival of the iPhone 11, the Californian giant also introduced the QuickTake feature. As the name of the function suggests, you can use it to shoot videos quickly. By default, video recording can be quickly started by going to the Camera app and then holding down one of the side volume buttons. But did you know that you can set the volume up button to capture a sequence? In the final, the volume down button will be used for quick video recording (QuickTake) and for volume up to start recording the sequence. To activate this function, go to Settings -> Camera, where activate possibility Sequence with the volume up button.

Add two extra buttons to your iPhone

The latest iPhones have a total of three buttons – specifically, those for adjusting the volume and turning the phone on/off. However, iOS 14 has added a feature that lets you add two extra buttons to your iPhone 8 and later. Of course, two new buttons will not appear out of nowhere on the body of the phone, but even so, this function can make life easier for many users. Specifically, we are talking about the possibility of controlling the device by tapping on its back. This feature has been available since iOS 14 and you can set it to perform an action when you double or triple tap the back. There are countless of these actions available, from simple to more complex. You can set the Tap on the back function in Settings -> Accessibility -> Touch -> Back Tap, where you then choose tap type a action.

Gmail and Chrome as default applications

Another great feature that we got with the arrival of iOS 14 is the option to set the default mail application and web browser. This means that it no longer has to be strictly the default mail client of the Mail application and the Safari web browser. If you are one of the supporters of Google and use Gmail or Chrome to manage e-mails and browse the Internet, then setting these applications as defaults is definitely useful. In this case, you just need to go to the native application Settings, where you go down a piece below to application list third side. Here you are gmail a Chrome search for a click on them. AT Gmail then select an option Default mail application, where Gmail select u Chrome then tap on Default browser and select Chrome. Of course, you can also set other applications as default this way.

Moving between menu pages

From time to time on your iPhone, you may find yourself in a situation where you are sometimes deep in an application, most often in Settings. If you want to go back to one of the previous screens, you have to keep tapping the button to go back one screen at the top left. The next time you find yourself in such a situation, back button in the upper left corner hold your finger It will be displayed to you shortly after menu with a list of all previous pages, on which you can be the only one tap to move. You don't have to tap the button so frantically.
