The shape of the headphones is more or less an open secret. The fact that it will be the 3rd generation of AirPods and not, for example, the 2nd generation of AirPods Pro, says their appearance. The latter is based on the Pro model, so it has a particularly shorter shank, but does not include replaceable silicone attachments. A nut construction cannot provide that listening quality because it cannot seal the listener's ear as well. For that reason, the second generation would be worse than the first. So it can be said with certainty that these are indeed 3rd generation AirPods.
Housing
Of course, the design of the headphones will also be adapted to their charging case. After all, this will also be very similar to that of the AirPods Pro. Compared to the basic AirPods, it will be wider rather than taller, due to the more curved stems of the headphones. However, due to the absence of extensions, it will not be as wide as in the case of the Pro model. Of course, it will be possible to charge it wirelessly.

Since Apple cannot transfer all the features of the Pro model to the lower segment, it will be very important for the management to balance the news that the 3rd generation of AirPods will bring. We will certainly be deprived of active noise suppression and throughput mode, when these two functions will remain the prerogative of a higher model.

From the Pro model comes not only design, but also control. Of course, a pressure switch designed for interaction will be added. We will also see Dolby Atmos surround sound, which Apple will probably bet a lot on and this feature will be at the forefront of every advertisement. However, the microphones should also be improved, which will receive the Conversation Boost function amplifying the voice of the person speaking in front of you, and of course also the battery life, which is the biggest Achilles heel of TWS headphones in general.

If we look at the price of AirPods in the Apple Online Store, we will see that AirPods with a wireless charging case cost CZK 5 (those without it are CZK 790 cheaper). Opposite them, AirPods Pro costs CZK 7. Therefore, if Apple does not stop selling the basic variant and does not make the one with a wireless charging case cheaper, it can be judged that the 290rd generation AirPods will have a set price somewhere around 3 CZK.
