For more than a week, we have been able to try the latest version of the watchOS operating system, namely watchOS 8, on our Apple Watches. Together with this news, the owners of smart Apple watches received a number of new improvements and functions. In today's article, we will take a closer look at the new Mindfulness application and health functions.

Reflexe

Reflection is a new type of "exercise" that's part of the Mindfulness app — formerly Breathing — in watchOS 8. As part of this exercise, you're given a simple task to think about, slow down, and do breathing exercises at the same time. To practice Reflex, start on your Apple Watch the Mindfulness app and tap on Think about it. Read the entry, click on Start, and breathe with concentration. Swipe to end the workout early across the display to the right and tap on End.

Adjusting the length of the exercise

Do you feel like you could easily handle longer workouts? No problem. Run it the Mindfulness app and click either u as needed Think about it or Respiration na three dots in the circle at the top right. Click on Length and select the desired number of minutes.

Reminder settings

Some people are happy when their Apple Watch reminds them that it's time to relax, some people don't like these reminders. If you prefer to practice when it suits you best, you can turn off Mindfulness reminders. On your Apple Watch, run Settings -> Mindfulness, where in the section Reminders you deactivate the items The beginning of the day a End of the day.

Respiratory rate

Everyone is comfortable with a different rhythm of breathing during exercise. If you want to adjust your breathing rate during exercise on Mindfulness on your Apple Watch, go to Settings -> Mindfulness. Head to the Frequency section and select the desired number of breaths per minute.

New meditations

Are you interested in the exercises in the Think section? If you want, you can set new meditations to always be automatically downloaded to your Apple Watch. To set up downloads of new meditations, start v on your Apple Watch Settings -> Mindfulness, point down on the display and activate the item Add new meditations to your watch.
