Expression of support for the author
There is a live broadcast option on YouTube, where viewers can express themselves in real time in the chat and support the author financially, if this option is turned on. But for an unknown reason, the support option does not work in the iPhone app, or when you click on the support icon, a dialog box appears saying that this feature is not available in your region. YouTube has not solved this error for a long time, but fortunately you can also send the financial amount to the author on the iPhone. Just quit the YouTube app and re-open it in web browser - YouTube.com. Now start some live stream and tap on support icon. In this case, the support option should work correctly.
Anonymous mode
No matter what you watch, sometimes it doesn't hurt to not save some videos to your history. On the one hand, because you don't want similar videos to be recommended by the algorithm, and on the other hand, when you are ashamed of a certain type of video and it is not convenient for you to let your friends see that you are watching them. Open the section in the application Your Account and then tap on Turn on anonymous mode. After turning it off, using the icon at the top right, all the videos you watched during its activation will be deleted from the history. However, I would like to point out that even in anonymous mode, you can be tracked by the school, company or institution under which you have a Google account.

Change the playback speed
Some YouTubers may speak too fast or too slow for your taste, so you can easily adjust the speed in the application. While playing a video, tap three dots icon at the top right and then select Playback speed. You have a choice of options 0,25x, 0,5x, 0,75x, normal, 1,25x, 1,5x, 1,75x a 2×.
Adaptation of algorithms
Google has really carefully worked out its algorithms. It virtually constantly freezes your web activity and uses it to personalize ads and recommend content for you. For customization and possible (de)activation, click on Your Account, then select Your data on YouTube and sit down below to sections Tracking history, Search history, Location history a Web and app activity. You can these options (de)activate and as the case may be clear previous history.

Blocking inappropriate videos
YouTube offers a service for children YouTube Kids, which is ad-free and blocks inappropriate content. However, if you do not want your children to necessarily use YouTube Kids, you must manually block inappropriate content for them in the classic YouTube application - the procedure is simple in this case. Click in the application Your Account, then go to Settings a turn on switch Limited mode. This will block inappropriate videos. Note that this mode will only be set on the device on which you activated the option, however, and not across the entire account.
