One of the reasons why people like Apple products is their extremely simple connectivity. This is where iCloud storage is provided, which is definitely one of the reliable solutions. If you actively use it, be sure to read this article to the end.

Freeing up space

iCloud offers several subscription plans. However, if you're not willing to pay extra and only own 5GB, storage space is running out really fast. To release the data, just go to Settings, tap on Your name, further on iCloud and then on Manage storage. In this section, you will see all the data that is stored on iCloud. To delete, just click on one of the icons tap and unnecessary data remove.

Settings for data that will be stored on iCloud

By default, all your contacts, photos, videos, and other data are backed up to iCloud, but this may not suit everyone, especially if you don't use iCloud as your primary sync service. To set everything according to your needs, move to Settings, click on Your name and then on iCloud. At the Apps Using iCloud section turn off toggles of all apps you don't want to back up their data.

View all saved passwords

The perfect service that is integrated in iCloud is Keychain. In addition to the fact that you can save passwords in it and synchronize them with all your devices, it can also generate strong passwords. However, these are very difficult to remember, and if you need to log in to a device that is not registered under your Apple ID, it is advisable to view the password. If you have iOS 13, open Settings, click the icon Passwords and accounts and after another tap on the option Passwords to websites and apps authenticate yourself with your face or fingerprint. If you are already a beta user of iOS 14, just select the icon in the settings Passwords and verify yourself again.

Setting up a shared tariff

iCloud offers plans of 50 GB, 200 GB and 2 TB. If you want to set up a shared tariff with your family, you must choose the highest one. If you have family sharing set up, just move to Settings, here tap on Your name, Click on iCloud and in the section Manage storage select an option Increase the storage tariff or Change storage plan. After being elected, either 200 GB or the largest storage volume 2 TB all members of the household will have enough iCloud space available - the storage is of course shared in this case, it doesn't work like that each family member has 200 GB or 2 TB.

Easy file sharing on iCloud Drive

Probably the easiest way to send large files and folders stored on iCloud is to share a link. You create the link by opening the application files, on the panel Browsing to move to the icon iCloud Drive and on the folder or file you want to forward, you hold your finger. Select an option from the menu Share and then Add people. In the lower right corner you can in sharing options grant access to anyone with a link or only invited users, and set permissions for viewing or editing. Then you can either send someone an invite or tap on Další and Copy the link. If you have allowed access to users with a link, just paste it anywhere and send it. The moment you move a file or folder somewhere else, all invitees will immediately lose access, so be careful when working with files.
