In our next installment of the 5+5 app-specific tricks series, we'll take a look at Google Maps. This application is one of the most popular and sought after by users, that is, in terms of navigation and maps. This application is used by over 1 billion users, which is practically every eighth person on our planet. Information about restaurants and other businesses

In addition to the fact that you can use Google Maps to navigate from point A to point B, you can simply let yourself be navigated to some businesses - for example cafes or restaurants. In addition to the route, however, in this case you can also have various information about the business displayed. Practically every larger business is already recorded in the Google Maps database, and you can often find some information about it that might interest you - for example, opening hours, official website, traffic or even photos and today's menu. If you want to search for information about a restaurant or other business, you can do so either by writing company name do top search or so that below tap in points of interest na Další and select an option Restaurant, which will show you restaurant near. Then it's up to you to choose a restaurant with just one click choose.

Routes not only for cars

Although most users use Google Maps for navigation while driving a car, it is true that you can easily navigate in Google Maps even if you want to drive public transport, or you want walk. In this case, the procedure is very simple. You just have to use it search engines found place, which you want transport, and then tapped the option Route. It will then be displayed to you route plan (by default) for the vehicle. If you want to change the route plan from vehicle to public transport or walking, you can do so by tapping on appropriate icon under search.

Plan your trip

In one of the previous paragraphs, I mentioned that Google Maps can be used primarily for navigation from point A to point B. However, did you know that you can navigate in Google Maps from point A to point B, then to point C and finally to point D? You can easily plan your trip in such a way that you have time to see all the places that interest you. You can of course also include the return trip home. If you want to set Route s multiple points, so first enter it in the search above first stop and then tap the option Route. After it appears route plan, so in the top right click on three dots icon, which will bring up a menu at the bottom of the screen from which to select an option Add stop. After clicking on this option, it will appear at the top another text field, in which you can enter the desired one stop. This way you can add stops practically endlessly. Order of stops can be simply changed so that you hold your finger on icons three lines and then the desired stop you drag where you need. This is how you plan your trip or business trip perfectly.

Home and work

If you're one of those people who don't work from home and have to commute to work, then it must be annoying for you to constantly enter your work address together with your home address into Google Maps. Some of you might object that everyone knows the route to work or home during that time and there is no need for navigation, anyway, many people use Google Maps to display the traffic situation so that they can possibly avoid traffic jams and other complications. So if you want to set navigating home or to work with a single click, so you can do so by clicking on your profile icon at the top right, then select an option from the menu Settings. In the new window, then move to the section commuting, where to set your address Home a Work, together with way commuting.

Location sharing

Within the Google Maps app, you can easily share your location with other users – similar to the native Find app. You can easily share your location with anyone who has a Google account. After you start sharing, you will then see the user in question on the map. This can be used, for example, if you want to reach someone and you don't know exactly where they are, or if you want to have an overview of where your employees with company cars are. So there are several different reasons why you should have Location Sharing enabled. If you want to start sharing your location with someone, in Google Maps, click on the top right your profile icon, and then select an option Location sharing. Now tap on the option share location, and then choose with whom and for how long you want to share your location. You can send the sharing information to the person simply by using news. In the same section you can optionally share the location end.
