Apple is new to streaming services, but when it comes to movie rentals, iTunes has been around for quite some time. In the TV application, you can also play creations from the iTunes Store as well as from the Apple TV+ service. In today's article, we will look at some useful features that will definitely not be lost when using this application.

Change video quality

If you find the video played in the TV application to be of poor quality, you can change the quality for some programs, depending on whether a higher quality is available on the TV for a specific program. Move to native Settings, open the section TV and select the icon Video resolution. Then just tap on one of the available resolution options.

Clear playback history

The TV app remembers where you left off when watching movies and series. But sometimes it can happen that you watch a lot of shows at the same time and you don't even remember the plot. At that point, just clear your playback history by tapping on the top right of the TV app Account settings, where you click the button Delete playback history. Then it's enough confirm dialog window. But you need to be aware that the history will be deleted from all devices managed under your Apple ID.

Data saving settings when streaming

Czech operators are not among the generous ones when it comes to data packages, and you won't exactly save data by using streaming services focused on movies. To reduce their consumption at least a little, open it Settings, next move to the option TV and in the streaming options turn on or turn off switch Use mobile data. Then in the Mobile network option turn on choice Data saving. If you want to download via the mobile network, switch Use mobile data at the Download Options icon you can turn on. Here you can choose whether you want to use fast download or high quality.

View shows purchased by your family

If you use family sharing, you can see what others are watching, and you can also download purchased movies of another family member. To do so, open the tab in the TV app at the bottom of the screen Library, where you click the item Family sharing. Here you will see all members who have sharing turned on. To view the purchases and contents of one of them, just click on it tap.

Adding other languages

If you want to practice a particular language, but you don't see it in the programs you watch, it doesn't automatically mean it's not available. By default, you only see the original and dubbing in the language of your iPhone. To add a language, open Settings, next, move to the section again TV and ride something below to the icon Audio track languages. Click on Adding a language and choose the one you want to use.
