Exploring the surroundings
Holidays and vacations are slowly starting for us, and this is the signal for discovering new places. If you are in an unfamiliar environment and want to look around, Mapy.cz will help you with that. Just tap on in the app Menu and then on the icon A trip around the area. Choose if you want to schedule it on foot, by bike or on cross-country skis. Finally, tap the button Navigate and you can hit the road.

Voice navigation
Mapy.cz, like most navigation systems, includes detailed voice navigation. You can change its settings as follows. In the app, tap Menu and select Settings. Go to the section here Navigation, where you can turn on or turn off switch Voice navigation. Then tap on Bluetooth playback, where you can choose from Default, From Phone or As Phone Call.

If you often do sports, it is useful to have information about the distance, time or speed reached. In the app, tap again menus, here click on Activities and choose from walking, running, cycling, downhill skiing or cross-country skiing. Then tap on the icon Record. From now on, the app calculates your speed, distance and time.

Displaying nearby places by category
Sometimes it's useful to explore what restaurants, parks, or public transport stops are around you. To do this in Mapách.cz, just click on search field. Above the keyboard you will see several categories, if you want to see more, click on the icon More categories.
Offline navigation
If you have a data connection, it's best to have it turned on while navigating to monitor traffic. However, if you do not pay for mobile data, travel in countries outside the European Union or have run out of data, offline navigation will help you. In the app, tap Menu and select an option Offline maps. You will be shown a list of individual countries whose maps you can download for offline use. For the download to be successful, leave the app open on the screen until the download is complete.
One of the functions that I discovered only recently is the quick distance measurement. Just place two fingers on the display and the distance as the crow flies from the place under one finger to the place under the other finger will appear. I quite like this feature, I use it quite often, but I don't think it's very well known.

I use cz maps a lot for mountain biking, unfortunately when planning, when I enter, for example, 12 points in the map and while driving I miss a certain point, the maps cannot skip the missed point and recalculate to the next point in the sequence, but pointlessly drive you back to the missed point.
