Nowadays, it is often more worthwhile to use chat applications such as Messenger or WhatsApp for communication, but for their functionality you must have an Internet connection available at all times, which not all users have. You can't go wrong with phone calls as such, and there's nothing complicated to set up, but there are options here that you might not have known about. We're going to look at those.

Hide your number

If for some reason you don't want the caller to know your number, you can hide it on your iPhone without having to install a third-party application. Move to native to hide Settings, select a section Phone and click on the item here View my ID. Switch View my ID activate. However, I would like to point out that some people do not accept calls from hidden numbers and that is why you do not call them, moreover, if you do not answer the call, then of course you cannot call the hidden number in any way.

Call Forwarding

Many users may have several numbers, for example personal and work. iPhone XR and newer and most Android devices support the option of two numbers in one phone, but if you have more than one, it still won't help you. Fortunately, you can easily turn on call forwarding from any number to your primary one, but you need to have an extra phone. If you want to activate redirection, open on your iPhone Settings, click on Phone and subsequently on Call Forwarding. Turn it on switch Call Forwarding and in the section Recipient enter the phone number to which you want to forward the call.

Activating the Do not disturb while driving function

Almost every user of products from the Californian company is intimately familiar with the Do Not Disturb function, thanks to which the user can better concentrate on the task at hand, mainly with the help of setting schedules or allowed calls. However, not everyone uses the option, which will help you focus more on driving. To adjust it according to your preferences, open native again Settings, click on Do not disturb and ride something below to the section Do not disturb while driving. At the icon Activate set whether you want to turn the feature on manually from the control center, automatically based on motion detection or when connected to Bluetooth in the car. At the icon Answer automatically select from the options To No One, Last, Favorite or To all contacts. In the section Response text you can rewrite the answer. After someone from your allowed contacts calls you while driving, a message is automatically sent to them.

Turn on Wi-Fi calling

In the Czech Republic, the signal coverage is quite problem-free, even so, in more remote places there may be problems when the connection is of poor quality or the call is not made at all. However, all Czech operators support Wi-Fi calls, when the call is made via a Wi-Fi network, not via the operator's. Just open it to turn it on Settings, move to Phone and tap on Wi‑Fi calls. A switch with the same name Activate.

Setting the devices on which you will be able to make calls

If you're in the Apple ecosystem and own an iPad or a Mac in addition to an iPhone, you certainly know the feeling when you're on a call when the whole desk rings out and you're distracted from important work. Click to turn off the devices on which the call will be received Settings, further Phone and finally the icon On other devices. Either you can (de)activate switch Calls on other devices completely or only for some devices by a little below in this setting.
