Native Reminders is a great and useful app that you can use across all your devices. Personally, I use Reminders most often on my iPhone in collaboration with the Siri assistant, but today we're going to look at how to use the native Reminders on the Mac as effectively as possible.

Groups for a perfect overview

If you use the native Reminders often, you've probably accumulated all kinds of reminders here - some are work-related, others are related to the home, and others are personal. The newer version of native Reminders allows sorting individual reminders into groups, thanks to which you can create a better overview. To create a new list, run on your Mac Reminders and click on the icon in the lower left corner "+". After that, it's enough name the list, and you can start adding new comments.

Drag and drop

For example, unlike the iPhone, the Mac offers you slightly richer options for moving content from one application to another. One of the benefits of Reminders is the ability to add images and other content, which you can easily do on a Mac using Drag & Drop if you want to drag and drop. Run on your Mac Reminders so that next to the application window you also see the content you want to add to the reminder - then that's all it takes drag the image from the original location to the selected note.

Set default list

Native Reminders includes a master default list. If you have multiple lists in Reminders, but you don't specify any of them when adding a reminder, the new reminder will appear in this default list. But instead of the default list, you can set the one you use most often, so you don't have to specify it when adding a new reminder. Run on your Mac Reminders and toolbar at the top of the screen, tap Reminders -> Preferences. You set the default list in drop down menu at the top of the preferences window.

Voice input for maximum convenience

Voice assistant Siri also works great with native Reminders. The problem arises when you want to enter a reminder in Czech, which unfortunately Siri still does not understand. But in such cases, you can use dictation on your Mac. First click on icon  in the upper-left corner of your Mac screen, choose System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Dictation, where you activate dictation and assign the selected keyboard shortcut to it. After that, it's enough in native Reminders just click on the place where you want to enter a reminder, press the appropriate one keyboard shortcut, and after display microphone icons start dictating.

Share lists

As with other platforms, you can share individual lists in Reminders on Mac. Run native Reminders and in the panel on on the left side of the window applications with the cursor k list, which you want to share. Wait for it to appear to the right of the list portrait icon, and click on it - after that you only need to select the desired sharing method.
