OneNote is a very useful and feature-packed cross-platform application that will serve you well for taking notes and other texts of all kinds. If you've decided to try the Mac version of OneNote, you can use some of our tips and tricks today to inspire you as you work.

To-do lists

In OneNote, you can create to-do lists not only on Mac. This feature is especially useful for those who don't like using a different app for every purpose. Creating a new to-do list in OneNote on Mac is easy. In the toolbar at the top of the screen, click File -> New Notebook. Name the newly created block, and then open it in the main application window. In the Partitions section, click Add Partition at the bottom of the window and name the partition according to the task at hand. You can then add notes to the created tasks. OneNote offers easy and quick drag and drop to move blocks, so you can create a section in your task block called Completed Tasks, and then easily move blocks of tasks that you have already successfully completed into it.

Cooperation

Like many other applications of this type, OneNote also offers the possibility of sharing and collaboration. If you have created a document that you would like to share with other users as part of collaboration, click on Share in the upper right corner of the application window. In the case of cooperation, click on Invite users to..., enter the desired contact, and do not forget to enable or disable editing options from invited users in the lower part of the window.

Inserting tables

OneNote also allows you to work with spreadsheets. If you want to create a table in the workbook you created, click Insert -> Table at the top of the window. Choose the desired number of rows and columns, insert the table, and then adjust it accordingly using the tools that appear at the top of the application window.

Paper selection

When creating notes and documents in OneNote, you don't necessarily have to rely on a pure white background - you can work with several different types of paper. To change the paper in your document, click View -> Paper Style in the toolbar at the top of your Mac screen. Here you can not only change the paper for your notes once, but also set its use for other pages.

OneNote on the web

Don't have a device with you that you normally use OneNote on? As long as you have access to a computer with an internet connection, nothing is lost. After logging in to your account, OneNote can also be used comfortably in the interface of any web browser. Just go to the address onenote.com, enter your login information, and you can safely work.
