Apple also offers various interesting and useful native applications with its devices. Among those that you can use for work, for example, is Keynote, used for creating, viewing and editing presentations. In today's article, we will introduce you to five useful tips that will make your work in Keynote even more efficient.

Don't be afraid of templates

If you don't dare to design your presentation all by yourself, but also don't want to settle for the simplest option, you can choose from a number of well-designed preset templates in Keynote on Mac. Start the Keynote application and in the lower left part of the window click on A new document – you will see a comprehensive one template library, from which you can choose as you wish.

Use charts and tables

Presentations are a specific way of presenting a given topic. If your presentation includes dates and numbers, you can imagine that their oral presentation will probably not be very comprehensible, attractive or memorable for the audience. But in the Keynote application, you can liven up your presentations with various tables and graphs. At the top of the application window, click on the item when creating a presentation Graf or Table – depending on what object you want to add – and then follow the instructions on the monitor.

Write notes

You can also take notes when you're creating a presentation in Keynote on Mac—you can write down things you want to tell your audience, interesting facts, keywords, and more. On the toolbar at the top of your Mac, click View -> View Notes. At the bottom of the window, you will see a free space where you can enter your notes. You can hide the notes by clicking on View -> Hide Notes.

Don't worry about the effects

Why settle for simply switching between slides when Keynote offers the ability to add effects? If you have more than one slide in your slide show, hold down the key Command and click to mark in the left column images, between which you want to add a transition effect. Then click on in the right column Animation and then the button add effect, and then that's enough select the desired effect.

Add videos from the web

You probably know that you can add all kinds of videos to your presentations in Keynote on Mac. If you want to add a video from the YouTube or Vimeo platform to your presentation, you don't have to research the possibilities of downloading it and inserting it into the slide. Copy the URL of the selected video and then on the toolbar at the top of your Mac screen, click Add -> Web Video. All you have to do is enter the text field paste the copied address and the video is added to the presentation.
