One option is to activate the Control Center, where you click on the wireless connection icon in the upper right corner of the playback panel. Then tap on the name of your HomePod and you can start controlling playback. You can also control playback on HomePod from your iPhone through the Apple Music app.

Voice control

As we mentioned in the previous paragraph, you can also control your HomePod mini with your voice. With the help of commands like "turn the volume up / down", or "turn the volume up / down by XX percent", you can control the volume through Siri, the commands "play" and "stop" can be used to pause or start playback. You can also use instructions like "next / previous song" to skip between songs, or "skip forward XX seconds" to skip during playback.

Customizing Siri's voice

On HomePod, you also have the ability to adjust Siri's volume to match the volume level of your own voice. To customize Siri's voice, launch the native Home app on your iPhone. Long press the HomePod icon and scroll all the way down on the device tab, where you tap the settings icon in the lower right corner. Tap Accessibility and enable Automatically change Siri volume.
