For various reasons, Apple Maps is not the first-choice navigation application for many iPhone owners. If you're not too fond of Apple Maps for iPhone yet, but you'd like to give them another chance, you can try one of our five tips and tricks today, which will convince you that it might not be a bad choice.

Look Around feature

Look Around is a relatively new feature offered by Apple Maps. This is a type of display that allows you to view the surroundings of your chosen location in 3D in the style of Street View from Google Maps. Unfortunately, the Look Around function is not yet available for all locations. If you want to try it out, launch it on your iPhone Apple Maps, pull bottom tab direction up and then tap on Looking around.

Use pins

In Apple Maps, you can mark selected places with the help of pins, and then, for example, find out how big the distance is between the marked place and your current location, you can also get navigation to the given place, or find out more information about it. It is enough to place the pin long press the selected location on the map, the pin will then appear automatically. At the same time, you will get detailed information about the given place, including the possibility of adding it to contacts, to favorites, or perhaps to a list of locations.

 

Find your way to the parked car

Apple Maps also offers a useful feature for anyone who has trouble finding their car again after parking in an unfamiliar location. First run on your iPhone Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Places of Interest, where you activate item Important places. After your iPhone disconnects from Bluetooth or CarPlay after leaving the car, Apple Maps will automatically place a parked car marker on the coordinates of your current location. So when you come back, just tap on the search field and select an item Parked car.

flyover

While Flyover isn't literally a useful feature that has the potential to convince you that Apple Maps is the right navigation app for you, it is a very fun pastime. This function shows you the selected location from a bird's eye view, so you can fly over the selected location. First, find on Apple Maps city, that interests you. Tap on the tab at the bottom of the screen flyover and you can start enjoying yourself.

Play around with the settings

If you run on your iPhone Settings -> Maps, you might be surprised at the ways you can make your iPhone's native Apple Maps experience even better. In the section Extension for example, you will find the option connection with other applications, but in the Maps settings you can also choose your preferred mode of transport, set the display of the compass, air quality information, or perhaps specify navigation details.
