Renaming AirTag

You can give your AirTag any name you want. You definitely don't have to limit yourself to the boring "John's keys" or "Lena's wallet". To rename an AirTag, launch the app on your iPhone Find and tap on Subject at the bottom of the display. Tap the AirTag you want to rename, pull the tab from the bottom of the display and point all the way down. Finally tap on Rename the subject and enter the name you want.

AirTag sharing

AirTag sharing came to the iOS operating system with a delay, but let's be glad that we have this option at all. It comes in handy when, for example, you need to share the location of the AirTag with your family, placed, for example, on the collar of your four-legged pet. To share an AirTag, launch the app Find, at the bottom of the display, tap Subjects and tap the AirTag you want to share. Then tap on Share and add more users.

Play audio on AirTag

Have you placed your AirTag on a wallet that's now somewhere in your apartment, you can't seem to find it, and most of all you want to ring it? No problem. Just launch the app Find, tap on Subjects and then tap the AirTag you want to play the sound for. Finally, all you have to do is tap on the AirTag tab Play sound.

Notice of forgetting

The AirTag can be set to notify you if you forget it somewhere, for example if you forget your keys in a restaurant. You can also create exceptions if you don't want to receive notifications when you're in the office or another place where you often leave your keys in a safe place. To set up notifications for a forgotten AirTag, launch the Find app, tap Items, and select the AirTag you want to set up notifications for. Pull the card from the bottom of the display, tap on Notify about forgetting, activate the item Notify about forgetting and optionally set exceptions.

Identification of the found AirTag

Found an item with an AirTag and want to return it to the owner? It is possible that the owner of the AirTag has noticed the loss of their item and has left instructions for return via the Find It app. To identify a found AirTag, launch the Find app and tap Subjects. Then at the bottom of the items tab, tap on Identify the object found and follow the instructions on the display.
