The macOS Ventura operating system came with countless great novelties and gadgets. Some are talked about more, others less, in any case, in our magazine we try to gradually bring you articles in which you can learn absolutely everything about new systems. In this article, we will specifically focus on 5 hidden tips in macOS Ventura that you simply must know. Let's get straight to the point.

Relaxing sounds in the background

On the iPhone, users have been able to use Background Sounds for a long time. If they are activated, the apple phone will automatically start playing relaxing sounds, such as noise, rain, ocean, stream, etc. As for Mac, this function was not available for a long time, but this is finally changing in macOS Ventura. If you would like to start relaxing background sounds here, just go to  → System Settings… → Accessibility → Sound, where below Background sounds you will find It's enough choose, that you want to play, and then just the song itself turn on the function.

Lock photos

We all probably have some content in our gallery that we don't want to share with anyone. Until now, you could only hide photos and videos, so although they did not appear in the library, they were still freely accessible in the Hidden album. The locking function was therefore simply missing and a third-party application had to be used. But the good news is that users can now lock the Hidden album not only in macOS Ventura. This function can be activated in the Photos application, where then in the top bar go to Photos → Settings… → General, where activate dole Use Touch ID or password. You will thus have to authorize each time you go to the Hidden and Recently Deleted albums.

Remove background from photo

We will stay with photos even within this tip. If you ever had to remove the background from an image, for example to place a product photo on the web, then you must have used a professional graphics editor to do it. But what if I told you that Mac learned to automatically remove the background from a photo using artificial intelligence? If you would like to try this function, all you have to do is open a photo with an object in the foreground. Then on him right click (two fingers) and press in the menu Copy the main theme. Then just go anywhere and copy the object here in the classic way insert, for example with a keyboard shortcut.

Automatic installation of security updates

Apple's operating systems are generally considered to be very secure, but that doesn't mean they never have bugs. But the problem until now was that if such a bug was discovered, Apple had to release a whole new version of the macOS operating system (or another) to fix it. Because of this, patches took significantly longer, and if you didn't have the latest version of the system installed, you weren't protected against the latest threats. Fortunately, however, this changes in macOS Ventura (and other new systems), where automatic installation of security updates in the background is finally available. To activate, just go to  → System Settings… → General → Software Update, where u Automatic update click on icon ⓘ, and then the switch turn on function Installing security patches and system files.

Copy text from videos

As many of you probably know, the Live Text feature has been part of newer Apple products for a relatively short time. Specifically, this function can recognize the text in an image or photo and convert it into a form in which we can work with it classically. Anyway, in the new macOS Ventura, there was an expansion and it is now possible to copy text from video as well. So if you find yourself on YouTube, for example, and you want to copy some text in a video, that's all you need suspend, and then classically mark with the cursor. Finally, to the marked text right-click or tap with two fingers (on YouTube twice) and select an option Copy. This feature is available not only in Safari, but also in the native video player.
