So here we are again after a short summer break. Our generous legislators once again granted us a state of emergency a few months before Christmas, and with it a strict quarantine, or significantly restricted outdoor movement. However, you don't have to despair, unlike in the spring, we are much better prepared for the current situation, and even before the start of that unplanned stay at home, we have prepared a special series of articles for you focused on the best game for iOS, which, with a little luck, will entertain you and divert your thoughts to something more positive. So let's check out the next part of our series where we explore the 5 best RPGs that you can play on your smartphones.

Asphalt 9: Legends

If you've been playing on your phone for a while now, you've probably come across the Asphalt series, which has a long history not only on smartphones. The first part was released already in 2004 and at that time offered unique graphics, unconventional controls and, above all, real physics and collisions, which made even an arcade racing game seem more realistic. With each subsequent venture, the saga developed and gradually reached the last and unrivaled best title so far – Asphalt 9: Legends. In it, the main goal is to win in various street races, to win the status of the best competitor and to beat some of the trampled four-wheeled machines in the process. Like the previous parts, the ninth addition can boast a wide car park, where we can find iconic brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini and many others. The absolutely fantastic audiovisual side is a matter of course. Thanks to the sophisticated control, you will feel every throttle and drift, which will add juice to the game and you will not let go of the phone. So if you like shiny expensive cars, Asphalt 9: Legends definitely give it a try and let off some steam. The game is also completely free.

Retro highway

If you're more into classic arcade titles that aren't too elaborate, but hella fun and addicting, we've got good news for you. The racing game Retro Highway will keep you busy for a good few hours and at the same time offer a relatively uncompromising difficulty, which will increase during the individual levels. There are pixel graphics, a number of ways to defeat opponents and a plethora of challenges, thanks to which this lovely game will become your daily bread. In addition, you will move up the leaderboard after each race, which is certainly a motivating factor that will keep you glued to the screen for a long time. You will of course be able to upgrade your bikes and vehicles and gain special abilities that will help you in your endeavours. So aim for App Store and give this pun a chance.

Carmagedon

Let's continue with the immortal classic, which premiered back in 1997. The legendary Carmageddon is, as the name suggests, exclusively about cars and their unconventional use. Don't expect orderly traffic and waiting in traffic jams, in this venture you will use a four-wheeled beast to destroy anything that shows signs of life and take part in uncompromising races in which you will test your strength against your opponents. Imagine a Mad Max like that, just a tad more civilized and moderate. Of course, there are various levels, a plethora of challenges and, above all, an almost endless arsenal of deadly weapons that you can use as you please. In addition, you can improve your machine with the collected points, thus increasing its efficiency. So if you don't mind a bloodbath and enjoy randomly running people over, head over to App Store and give this madness a chance.

Earn to Die 2

Another no less successful post-apocalyptic "racing" game is Earn to Die 2, which successfully follows on from its predecessor of the same name and offers much wider options. Although this title may look relatively simple at first glance, beneath the surface hides an extensive strategic system that will keep you playing for tens of hours. Your goal is to create a car that will go as far as possible and ideally make it to the next checkpoint. However, your path will be complicated by obstacles, hordes of zombies and, above all, not very passable terrain, where you can easily get stuck in the mud or your precious machine gets stuck in a ditch. Either way, it's up to you how you construct your machine of destruction. You can use almost any material to create it, including a rich arsenal of weapons, and thus create a perfectly deadly mobile vehicle. Similar to Carmageddon, you won't miss the bloodbath here, and there will be no shortage of flying limbs. So aim for App Store and get Earn to Die 2 for a few crowns.

ATP Challenger Tour

If you are more into a realistic experience and almost a simulation of a racing circuit, you should definitely take a look at the sophisticated game GRID Autosport, which captivates not only with its graphics, which are indistinguishable from console titles, but also with its controls and an incredibly complex system. Naturally, the game focuses mainly on circuits, where you compete with artificial intelligence or real players. Of course, there are also cars from typical well-known brands or accredited teams. Either way, if you want to race around the track in a luxury car, we recommend heading to App Store and buy the game.
