Lockdown is not over, the days are slowly dragging on and many players are slowly starting to complain that they don't have much to play. This is somewhat understandable given the current "cucumber season". But don't worry, as in the previous installments of our series, we'll be focusing on the best Mac games that you shouldn't miss out on. It should be noted, however, that while in the previous days we mainly gave space to fast action games and adventure titles, this time we will indulge in isometric games for a change. They take quite a few hours of your life and at the same time give you a lot of work, both in terms of gameplay and game systems. So take a look at our TOP selection with us.

Overlord II

If you've ever wanted to control a group of goblins who loot and kill as much as you can at your command, Overlord II will most likely make your wish come true. This adventure game with RPG elements takes you to a prosperous world where good has triumphed over evil, the inhabitants live an idyllic lifestyle and everything is fine. That is, until the moment when the dreaded evil master of darkness - Overlord - wakes up. You will take on his role and gradually build an empire, conquer territory and murder everything that comes your way. Your army of goblins will do the dirty work for you, which you can gradually upgrade, tame other species during your destructive quest and then use them in battle. Although the game world is not very vast and open, it fully compensates for all this with a diverse environment and, above all, with the possibilities that the game offers you. On Steam plus, you can get the game for just $2.49, so it's an excellent Christmas pastime. Your machine won't break a sweat either, the game can handle macOS X 10.9, a 2GHz dual-core processor and a basic graphics card.

Diablo III

Speaking of Roman numerals, let's look at another adept. Quality hack'n'slash games are few and far between on the apple system, and most of them are inspired by their older sibling, which is Diablo. Although the third part was released several years ago, it is still great fun that will make you sink hundreds, if not thousands of hours into the game. Your only goal will be to massacre hordes of enemies, bathe in a blood bath and try to gradually go through the entire game world, which, despite its linearity, is extremely dynamic and variable. There is also the possibility to improve your hero, choose from several professions and, thanks to sophisticated RPG elements, customize your character to your own image. Although the game becomes slightly repetitive after a while, it still offers a unique experience that only Blizzard managed to convey. So if you're looking to wind down after your Christmas binge with a game that's dark and uncompromising, Diablo III is a great choice. So visit Battlenet and get the game for $19.99. You can already play with macOS X 10.6.8, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT or ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphics card.

Dota 2

If you're more of a fan of online games and avoid singleplayer like hell, you've surely already come across the mother of all MOBA games, Dota 2. Unlike its followers, the game still maintains an active community, a professional esports scene and, above all, a never-ending regular dose of content , with which Valve supplies this act. The concept of the game itself is quite simple to understand, your only goal is to choose a character from a constellation of heroes, each with their own set of unique abilities, and go into battle against the opposing team. The goal is to destroy his defensive towers and then the base itself, which seems like a simple task, but in order to win, in addition to perfect knowledge of the mechanics, you will also need strategy and tactics to outwit the enemy. It will take a few hours to learn the game, but there is plenty of time during quarantine. So don't hesitate to head over to Steam and download the game for free. Your hardware will not be strained too much, you can already play with macOS X 10.9, a dual-core 1.8GHz processor and an NVIDIA 320M or Radeon HD 2400 graphics card.

Wasteland 2

If you prefer a more tactical approach and like to think about dozens of options that would help you escape from a predicament, Wasteland 2 is tailor-made for you. This isometric FPS title with RPG elements is a direct continuation of its ancient predecessor from 1988 and offers a return to a post-apocalyptic, Western-themed world after an atomic war, where there is no shortage of dangerous places. Of course, there are hordes of mutants, omnipresent radioactivity and, above all, the possibility to create a team of survivors and perform various tasks. Together, you can control up to 7 characters, each of which has its own weapons and equipment that you can improve during the game. So if you're into isometric strategy games, head over to Steam and go to the dusty and dark world of Wasteland 2 in this uncertain time. macOS 10.5 and higher, Intel Core i5 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 300 will be more than enough for you.

This War of Mine

Although it is not a purely isometric title in its essence, we simply cannot forgive its mention. In this unobtrusive game, you take charge of a few survivors who are hiding from the horrors of war in one of the houses. It will be up to you to provide them with food, drinking water, supplies and above all, warmth. Each member of the group has their own needs, and if they are not met, they can get sick or die. Of course, you always have to sacrifice one brave person and send him out, which de facto leaves him to his fate and risks being missed by a sniper bullet or one of the other survivors. So if you're not into strategy games that spare no emotion and throw you one moral dilemma after another, head to Steam and get This War of Mine. Trust us, you probably haven't tasted a similar experience before.
