In September, we are expecting the presentation of the new generation of iPhones, which will already bear the number 15. This most famous smartphone in the world has already been through a lot, but it is true that it has not always succeeded in everything. We choose 5 models from history that didn't have it easy and suffered from various ailments, or we just have a slightly biased opinion about them.
iPhone 4
To this day, it remains one of the most beautiful iPhones and is fondly remembered by many. But he also gave many a wrinkle on the forehead, for two reasons. The first was the antenagate case. Its frame caused signal loss when held incorrectly. Apple responded by sending covers to customers for free. The second ailment was the glass back, which was amazing in design but otherwise very impractical. There was no wireless charging, it was just for looks. But everyone who has owned an iPhone 4 and by extension the iPhone 4S has simply encountered breaking them.
6 iPhone Plus
The lines and the thin thickness (7,1 mm) were simply amazing, but the aluminum was too soft. Whoever put the iPhone 6 Plus in the back pocket of their pants and forgot about it while sitting down with it simply bent it. While the iPhone 6 Plus was far from the only phone that could be easily damaged in this way, it was certainly the most famous. But the phone was otherwise great.
iPhone 5
This generation of iPhones did not really suffer from any mediatized case, it was, after all, considered to be well-designed and functionally well-equipped, because Apple also enlarged the display here for the first time. This point is based on personal experience with the battery. I have never had as many problems with her as I have here. I complained about the phone a total of 2 times and always in connection with extremely fast discharge and literally crazy heating, when the phone really burned in the hand. Up to 3 pieces were the ones that lasted the next few years. But as soon as it was possible, I let him go in the family, because I simply didn't trust him anymore.
iPhone X
It was the biggest evolution in the history of iPhones when the bezel-less design and Face ID came, but this generation suffered from bad motherboards. These had the feature that it simply blackened your display and thus the password (literally). If you had it under warranty, you could have dealt with it, but if it was over, you were out of luck. This story is also based on my own unpleasant experience, when unfortunately it was the latter case. Evolution is yes, but it is not remembered too fondly.
iPhone SE 3rd generation (2022)
Say what you want, this phone should never have been made. I was able to review it and it's not fundamentally a bad phone because it performs great, but that's where it starts and ends. It certainly has its aim, but even for the money it's not a good buy. It is outdated in design, insufficient in terms of technology and display size. Its camera takes good pictures only in ideal lighting conditions. In many ways, it is therefore better to buy an older iPhone model, but one that at least somewhat reflects modern technology, not a memory of the times before 2017.
I would probably also add the ip 13 pro, I don't know if I'm just lucky, but it overheats terribly, it was already swapped twice and it still didn't help + sviwtidlomje is much weaker compared to the ip 2 plus
iPhone 4 and X were gems, some of the worst iPhones. The flop was the 5, it had several serial errors that Apple had to address retrospectively – the power button, battery and charger, and the biggest flop ever was the 5C. Glory is not even the XR or the iPhone 14, which is identical to the iPhone 13, please, find the difference.
the differences are:
1. by 2 GB more RAM
2. better camera (also front, larger sensor, better brightness, Photonic Engine, Action mode)
3. 1 extra gpu (basically "just unlocked")
4. Bt 5.3
5. better durability
and a higher price by 2500 CZK
that's the end of it :D
Xko is there only because the author "turned off" after the warranty :) For me, one of the phones that changed the view of the controls and set a new design for the next generation...
SE 2022 would be a good phone for a certain target group, but it would have to be under 10. In my opinion, the optimal price would be 8 thousand. for the 64 GB variant.
And that's just because it's an iPhone. If it were an Android phone, then it would have to be under 5 thousand for the phone to be sold in meaningful volume.
In other markets, it is said that they usually get it for free from the operator with the tariff, but it is probably not a sales hit elsewhere either.
It happens that the iPhone SE 3 generation is a top phone for someone who just needs the good old look of the iPhone 8 with a new interior and especially the good old home button. Not everyone needs a frameless paddle.
